Embroidered Denim Jacket: Gucci vs Topshop?

With the weather currently in transition mode, only a denim jacket will do. And with embroidered denim here to stay for another season, of course it makes sense to snap up a floral embroidered denim jacket. There’s no shortage of options available at the moment so the question is whether to invest in a designer piece or play it on the safe side and watch the pennies? Currently reigniting a love affair with fashionistas everywhere, Gucci have offered up their take on the trend with this light blue denim jacket beautifully embellished with a cute bee on the collar and needle point florals while Topshop have gone in the direction of a vintage wash jacket with butterflies and flower detail. Gucci’s asking for a budget busting £1610 while Topshop comes in at a fraction of the price at £65. To splurge or not to splurge? That is the question…. WATCH Kate Moss get chased by paps in Gucci’s ‘Jackie’ video

Blake Lively and Charlotte Casiraghi aren’t the only ladies posing for the fine Italian fashion House that is Gucci, oh no. Our very own Kate Moss has appeared in the brand new ad campaign video for Gucci – more specifically for the Gucci Jackie tote. As the name suggests, the Jackie was inspired by style icon Jackie Kennedy, and the short film as a whole depicts the fabulous jet-set lifestyle of the typical Gucci girl. So, sit back, relax, and watch a Jackie-toting Kate Moss get chased by paparazzi (the brand could have just got actual footage from Mossy’s real life if they didn’t want to pay a big photographer fee) while maintaining the utmost class and glamour at the same time. A great watch this Tuesday morning – especially if you want a break from all the Royal Baby and New York Fashion Week news. Does she outrun the paps in the end? We don’t want to give anything away… enjoy!

Rosie Huntington Whiteley wears Gucci for Harper’s Bazaar UK September cover

While most September issues are all about showcasing the newest fashionable threads to help ease us into the new season, Harper’s Bazaar UK has gone in a totally different direction – by not featuring any clothing on its cover whatsoever. Instead, Harper’s Bazaar UK has decided to put all its trust in a gorgeous face and a fabulous mane of hair to sell all its issues… and that face is none other than Rosie Huntington Whiteley! We don’t want to speak too soon, but we don’t think the mag’s going to have any trouble shifting issues, do you? Although you can’t really see it, Rosie is wearing a Gucci coat on the cover, which was shot by David Slijper and styled by Miranda Almond. She was interviewed for the mag by Esquire editor-in-chief Alex Blimes, and opens up about all the jobs she had before she made it big, her boyfriend Jason Statham, and, believe it or not, missing England when she’s in LA… “I do battle with wanting to be closer to my family, wanting to call my brother on a Sunday and ask him to come round and watch The X Factor, or be there to support my sister, or go shopping with my mum,” she said. “Not being able to do that can get me down. But I feel really grateful that I do get to be here once a month. There’s an instant connection with a British person. I can sit here and tell you about things and we instantly get what the other one is talking about. We sort of get what she means; in a weird way, despite living in the constant LA sunshine, we would miss England too! You’ll have to get the September issue to find out what else Rosie had to […]

Beyonce and Solange Knowles take the plunge at Gucci Chime for Change event

Beyonce and her little sis Solange seem to have put elevator-gate firmly behind them, as they looked like the best of friends at the Gucci Chime for Change one year anniversary event in New York last night. Do you think Beyonce told Solange to be on her best behaviour? Beyonce looked heavenly in a plunging white jumpsuit that accentuated all of her bootylicious curves, which she accessorised with black sandals and a very enviable honey blonde mane. Solange also went for white on the bottom, but added a splash of colour by way of a bright orange blouse that was also on the plunging and daring side. Her voluminous curls were back in full force, too; but there was still room on her head for a set of headphones, as Solange even took time out to hit the DJ booth and provide some musical entertainment for the rest of the guests. That’s our girl! [Image]

Keira Knightley is 70s chic in Gucci for Elle UK July cover

There are so many things we love about the Elle UK July cover. We love the fact that Keira Knightley is the bright and beautiful cover star, we love the 70s vibe that’s being channelled – especially the pink Gucci piece she is rocking – and we love the bold simplicity of the cover as a whole. Inside the mag, Keira poses for Thomas Whiteside in delightful ensembles from the likes of Saint Laurent, Dolce and Gabbana and Miu Miu, and also opens up about meeting Karl Lagerfeld for the first time, her new film role, and discouraging her daughter from acting… “Oh, 100%, I’d absolutely tell her not to. I would 150 million trillion per cent be totally discouraging,” she said. “Teenage years should be done privately. You should be going out and getting unbelievably drunk, getting into ridiculous situations, making mistakes. “That’s what that time of life is about and we should do that privately.” Well, there you go. If you want to find out what Keira’s first experience with Karl Lagerfeld was like, you’ll have to buy Elle UK’s July issue when it hits newsstands tomorrow.

Rita Ora vs. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley…Who wore Gucci better?

Carrying off a Gucci number takes some skill; not only do you have to peak at glamazon levels, but everything down to the last accessory and stray hair strand matters! Making us pick between them this week, in the same Gucci gown, are Rita Ora and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Both ladies took to their respective red carpets in this stunning black spring 2014 halter gown, with baby pink embellishment. Gucci looks always deiver the dare-to-bare factor, and there was plenty of that around with this look! First up to slip into the gown was Rosie, who wore it to the LACMA Art + Film Gala back in November 2013. Like a pro, the statuesque model let the gown do all the show-stopping, by keeping accessories and make-up pared down and hair swept away from her face. Catching up with Ms. H-W was another Brit. Singer Rita Ora put her own spin on the glam gown, when she made an appearance in it at the Weinstein company’s Post-BAFTA party back in February. Featuring her signature tousled bob and bright red lip, the ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ singer added her usual lashings of accessories. So, who wins in this war of the gowns? We’re giving this one to…wait for it…Rosie! This gown calls for a minimalist approach to styling, and Rita’s extra accessories and loud lip are unnecessary add-ons. Rosie owns this one by a fair few style miles. Agree? [Images: Rita; Rosie]

Blake Lively wows in Gucci on New York red carpet

Following her jaw-dropping appearance at the Met Gala on Monday night (she wore a stunning Gucci Premiere dress and, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds, wowed absolutely everyone with her radiance) Blake Lively has made yet another glorious appearance on the red carpet. This time round, the actress attended Gucci’s Chime for Change Campaign in New York on Tuesday (no time to nurse a Met Gala after-party hangover!) dressed in a gorgeous trench coat from the Gucci Pre-Fall 2014 collection with a bejewelled dress from the brand’s autumn/winter 2014 collection underneath. We don’t think it was, but it looks like the coat was made exclusively for her as it fits her like a glove and complements her dreamy skin tone and enviable golden locks perfectly. Blake completed her stylish outfit with spiked shoes from her good pal Christian Louboutin and what is fast becoming her signature slightly dishevelled side braid. Sartorial perfection at its finest!

Gucci heads to The Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Flower Show is strictly about all things horticulture, right? Wrong! This year’s Chelsea Flower Show is going to have a little more fashion injected into it, as it’s just been announced that Gucci will be taking part in it. The fashion House will create a garden for the first time, based on its iconic flora design… “Flora was the very first iconic design motif from Gucci’s storied past that I decided to revive and reinterpret,” creative director Frida Giannini said about the fashion House’s love of the flora print. “Since then I have used it on bags, dresses, scarves and as the inspiration for a series of fragrances. “Today, Flora has become a symbol of the Gucci woman’s effortless fusion of tradition and contemporary poise. The print holds special meaning to me.” If you’re more into your fashion than your flowers and your handbags rather than your horticulture then we have some excellent news for you. The brand will also be releasing a limited-edition Lady Lock handbag range that will feature the traditional flora print, sold exclusively at Gucci’s Sloane Street store from May. Plus you can also attend artisan workshops at the Gucci Sloane Street store from May 20th to 24th too. See – everyone can get involved! [WWD]

Naomi Campbell is wildness personified in Gucci

Naomi Campbell is pretty fierce at the best of times, but she was wildness personified at the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards which took place in Beverley Hills on Sunday night. The fearless (and often fearsome – we’ve all watched The Face!) supermodel wowed in a custom halter-neck animal print Gucci dress, which was as just as fierce as it was feminine. The floaty, girlie fabric of the chiffon maxi dress was juxtaposed brilliantly with the leather detailing found on the neck and waist, and Naomi’s large and in charge hair ‘do and sultry black eye make-up added even more edginess to the ensemble. We love how she kept the rest of her accessories to a minimum, save for some attention-grabbing gold earrings and a few rings on her fingers for good measure.

Milan Fashion Week AW14 highlights from Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, Versus Versace & more

Time to watch the unveiling of the autumn/winter 2014 trends from behind our computer screens, as London Fashion Week is well and truly over (sniff) and the fack pack has now flocked to Italy for Milan Fashion Week! Milan certainly doesn’t mess about, as it’s straight down to business on day 1 with collections from Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, Versus Versace and Fausto Puglisi. Gucci went in a little bit of a different direction this season, as Frida Giannini took inspiration from the boys – more specifically, the Gucci menswear collection – for the autumn/winter 2014 threads. She juxtaposed her most androgynous garments with the girliest of pieces for a versatile, retro collection.   Gone was the overt sexiness that we’ve come to know from the brand – especially if last season was anything to go by – and a softer, vintage collection was in its place. Soft pink oversized coats, geek chic glasses, slim fit trousers in a super-flattering silhouette, mod-inspired outerwear, the lot. Alberta Ferretti was influenced by nature for her latest collection, trees, leaves, and bird feathers all made an appearance on her new-season pieces.  It wasn’t all woodland inspired though, as typical Alberta embellishments, sequins and silhouettes were also present, making for another versatile and somewhat wholly wearable collection. Fausto Puglisi was clearly inspired by the Big Apple, as the Statue of Liberty made several appearances on t-shirts and jumpers alike. The designer presented a casual cool collection for the effortlessly chic and stylish Fausto Puglisi girl; fun, flirty, body confident girls with everything to live for! And then we had Donatella Versace’s efforts for the Versus Versace autumn/winter 2014 collection. Donatella’s influence was very much present in the entire collection, which you can see with the tight leather dress and leather biker jacket. Typical rock and roll […]

Blake Lively wears Gucci SS14 jumpsuit moments after its MFW debut

Well this has to be some sort of record! Less than 24 hours after debuting on the Milan Fashion Week catwalk, Blake Lively has stepped out in a black liquid lame jumpsuit from the brand spanking new Gucci spring/summer 2014 collection. And doesn’t she look incredible in it? Why she wasn’t sent on the runway in it in a Rita Ora for DKNY fashion we will never know! The face of the Gucci Premiere fragrance looked positively glowing as she attended the Beauty in Wonderland exhibition in Milan yesterday evening. She accessorised her new-season jumpsuit with black open-toed sandals and an 18kt white gold and diamond horsebit cocktail ring, while sweeping her hair off her face in a chicly disheveled updo and opting for natural make-up. If it wasn’t already obvious why Gucci loves her, this look will definitely do the trick. A match made in heaven! [Image c/o Gucci]

Charlotte Casiraghi’s final Gucci Forever Now ads revealed

Our Twitter followers might already know that we are dog people (we made several four-legged friends during London Fashion Week and weren’t afraid to tweet about it!) so it goes without saying that Gucci’s latest Forever Now ad campaign is our runaway favourite. And it’s not really hard to see why. We don’t just love it for the miniature dachshund and golden retriever puppies though – Charlotte Casiraghi is also looking as fierce and beautiful as ever. This is Charlotte Casiraghi’s fourth and final Forever Now installment, this time posing for Bruce Weber after previously being photographed by Peter Lindbergh, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott respectively. This time around, Grace Kelly’s granddaughter is promoting Gucci’s “bamboo bag”, which you can see cropping up a few times in the pictures. Looks pretty irresistible doesn’t it? We love what Gucci did with this ad campaign – each individual campaign brought something different to the table thanks to the different photographers on hand to capture Charlotte and assorted Gucci product, while keeping the luxury Italian/equestrian theme running throughout. Which one has been your favourite? The first one? The second one? The third one? Or the fourth and final one above? [Telegraph]

Milan Fashion Week SS14 highlights from Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, DSquared2 and more

Two cities down, two more to go. We’ve waved goodbye to London Fashion Week (it was an emotional, action-packed, unforgettable five days!), so it’s now it’s time to focus our attention onto the catwalks and designers of Milan Fashion Week. And the collections showing on the first day of MFW included Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, DSquared2 and Luisa Beccaria. Alberta Ferretti took flower power to a whole new level, and went beyond her signature softness that we associate her collections with. Although there were minimal feminine pastels in floaty romantic pieces which opened the show, they were juxtaposed with vibrant, bold shades and patterns as the show went on, proving that she is stepping out of her comfort zone and branching into more vivid and adventurous territory. Blake Lively, the face of Gucci Premiere, was of course present on the front row for the fashion House’s spring/summer 2014 show, and we definitely think she eyed up a few potential red carpet outfits from the selection that came out on the runway. Or maybe even gym outfits, as the collection had a somewhat sporty aesthetic to it. Backless garments were once again very prominent on this catwalk (it was a recurring theme in New York and in London this season), as were loose-fitting dresses and seventies inspired silhouettes. Olivia Wilde dares to bare in Gucci at Rush London premiere

Wilde by name and wild by sartorial nature. Olivia Wilde dared to bare at the premiere of her new film Rush in London’s Leicester Square last night, opting to walk the red carpet in a dangerously plunging black Gucci jumpsuit that no doubt got her a lot of attention. The actress ensured that the rest of her look was just as bold, edgy and sexy by adding a seriously bold red lip, statement eye make-up and no distracting accessories. The simplicity was part of this look’s appeal – Olivia didn’t put a foot wrong! If you think Gucci and Olivia are a match made in heaven, then we urge you to see Rush as her character Suzy Miller’s costumes were made by Gucci’s Frida Giannini herself. Is this one of Olivia Wilde’s sexiest looks to date? Jason Sudeikis is one lucky fella!

Gucci’s Frida Giannini designs Olivia Wilde’s Rush costumes

Olivia Wilde’s brand new film Rush – about Formula 1 in 1976 and directed by the Academy Award winning Ron Howard, fyi – just got that little bit more glamorous thanks to its new costume designer. Gucci’s very own Frida Giannini has got on board, and has been exploring both Formula 1 and 1970s archives to find inspiration for Olivia Wilde and costar Chris Hemsworth’s costumes. “The style of Suzy Miller (Olivia’s character) is the essence of Gucci as it captures the mixture of sexy allure and innocent naturalness that defined the style of the time,” she said. “The Seventies has always been a decade that has inspired me greatly, so it was extremely exciting to be asked by Ron Howard to help design wardrobes for RUSH. It is hard to think of a more glamorous profession than being a racing driver in the Seventies. The sketches are making us very excited, so we can’t wait to see the finished pieces. [Grazia]

Jennifer Lopez is Gucci gorgeous for W’s August issue

“I’m not designing clothes for someone who is doing lines of coke off the table, like I was when I was at Gucci and Saint Laurent” – Tom Ford

Usually we rely on Karl Lagerfeld to provide us with shocking and somewhat controversial remarks, but it looks like he might have some new competition in the shape of Tom Ford. In a rare interview with WWD, the designer opens up abut a number of subjects, including his eponymous collection and his thoughts on why it received mixed reviews back in February, his hatred of minimalism, and his past endeavours at Gucci and YSL (or Saint Laurent Paris, to use its new name)… “I’m in a totally different place,” he said. “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke. I’m not the guy who’s designing clothes for someone who is doing lines of coke off the table, like I was when I was at Gucci and Saint Laurent.” Erm? We hope Gucci and SLP aren’t too offended by that comment. Let’s move on to his thoughts about minimalism, shall we… “I am sick of minimalism,” he continued. “I’m not only sick of it in clothes. I’m colour-starved. I don’t want to do the obvious thing and all of a sudden attribute it to having a child. But having to decorate Jack’s room in a colour was really hard and now that he’s here, I find that I don’t have nearly the aversion. There’s a hot pink room in one place, a bright orange in another house, a chartreuse room in another house.” Sounds pretty cool to us. What do you think about the designer’s “lines of coke” comment? Pinch of salt? [WWD]

Gucci launches Music Fund for rising UK talent

Following on from the success of last year’s Gucci Timepieces & Jewellery Music Fund which supported emerging Asian musical talent, the Italian fashion House has launched a UK Music Fund to give British artists the same opportunity. Gucci will team up with The World Heart Beat Music Academy in London to give children the chance to be musically trained. A host of famous faces have already got behind the cause, in particular DJ Jo Whiley and singer Emeli Sandé. “It’s crucial that young people today have the chance to express themselves through music and are given opportunities to do so,” Emily Sandé said. “Projects like this make music available to everyone; disadvantaged youths in particular will be able to tell their story and get their voices heard. “These are issues that are close to my heart, so I’m really proud to be part of it.” Additionally, 10 children from the World Heart Beat Music Academy will also be given the chance to attend Grammy Camp in Los Angeles – a programme which aims to coach rising young talent. Maybe the next Adele will be found… This isn’t the only musical event Gucci is getting behind though – don’t forget the Gucci Chime for Change concert happening later this year with performances from Beyonce, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Florence and the Machine and more. Kate Hudson wears Gucci for Elle UK May cover

Oh Kate Hudson, you beauty! Another May cover for you to gaze at this morning, this time courtesy of Kate Hudson for Elle UK May. The actress’s previous covers for Elle (of which there have been quite a few) must have really sold like hotcakes – why else would the mag insist she keep coming back to pose for it again and again? Not that we are complaining of course – au contraire, we adore Kate’s powerful covers, and this one is no different. We think the May cover is just as strong as her previous efforts – but then again, you can never really go wrong with a red hot Gucci number, right? Kate chats to the magazine about her relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy – from their first few dates, to getting pregnant, to the prospect of walking down the aisle… “We will get married,” she said. ”I do think it’s important but we have no plans. Ryder wants a party. For me it’s not the legal part that is important, it’s what it means to the family. “I’m part of a family. That’s how we were brought up, how I bring my kids up. They are very blessed to live how they do but they are aware of that.” Want to find out more? Elle UK May is on sale from today, so hotfoot it to your nearest newsagent and snap this issue up! Beyonce for Gucci’s Chime For Change female empowerment campaign

If we had to guess which famous face would head a female empowerment campaign, we would have bet good money that it would be Beyonce. After all, is she not the one who sang about girls running the world? Queen Bey, along with Salma Hayek and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, have joined forces for the brand’s Chime For Change female empowerment global campaign, whereby they aim to raise money and awareness for worldwide projects for women. “I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women,” Beyonce said. “Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be. It’s up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I’m honoured to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies.” And speaking of other women, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sarah Brown and Arianna Huffington are also involved in the campaign, acting as an advisory board of experts. Way to go, ladies – we have every faith that this campaign will be a roaring success! [Image c/o Gucci]

Milan Fashion Week AW13 highlights from Gucci and Alberta Ferretti

Back to viewing fashion week from our office chairs, as the fashion elite move from London and make a stylish dash to Milan. Milan Fashion Week kicked off with the autumn/winter 2013 offerings from Gucci and Alberta Ferretti, no doubt two of the biggest names on the Italian fashion calendar. And it wasn’t hard to see why given the beautiful collections that emerged on the catwalks. Frida Giannini ensured that Gucci was an ethereal mix of the dark, dangerous, seductive and indulgent, followed up with some vampy eye make-up and sleek but still utterly fierce hairstyles. The attention to detail in each and every piece was exquisite, with the slick tailoring in particular being a real highlight. Alberta Ferretti took things in the completely opposite direction – not just from Gucci, but from her previous collections. The designer stripped everything back and really went for simplicity. Gone were the intricate designs, patterns, textures, embellishments and varied colour palettes, and in their place were simpler, more contemporary pieces. This is Alberta Ferretti though, so take the term “simple” with a pinch of salt. We love this collection! Bring on Day 2 where the likes of Prada, Fendi and Max Mara will be showing!

Katy Perry vs. Li Bingbing: Who wore Gucci better?

One dress, two stars: the ultimate fash-off accessory this week is a summer-perfect, minty-fresh dress from Gucci’s Resort 2013 collection. Chinese actress and singer, Li Bingbing, was the first to slip into said dress at the 49th Annual Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, last November. Opting to pretty much replicate the look exactly as it was shown on the catwalk; Li carried a platinum clutch and swept her hair away from the face, to reveal the ornate floral neck detail. Katy Perry also sported the same dress to the 2013 Grammy Awards, but decided to offer up more than just a statement neckline! The key-hole neckline (that’s polite for boob window) was more than stretched, after Katy spilled her ample cleavage into the stunning dress. A neutral palette on the face, strong eyes and glossy black locks completed her look. Two very different looks were achieved with an identical dress; with Li taking a more demure approach to the well-endowed Katy. But whose look do you prefer? Although Katy did make our Grammy’s Best Dressed list, the ample cleavage on display is quite a distraction, almost battling it out with the decorated neckline for attention! Both ladies look equally exceptional in the dress, but Katy’s overly-revealing look is a little, well, hard to ignore. Li, you get our vote this week! Do you agree with our fash-off verdict?

Charlotte Casiraghi returns for Gucci’s third Forever Now campaign

Gucci has marked the start of a new year by releasing the third set of images from Charlotte Casiraghi’s Forever Now ad campaign. This time round, Grace Kelly’s granddaughter was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott – if you cast your minds back to last year you may remember that Peter Lindbergh and Inez and  Vinoodh shot the first two. The third offering is just as stunning as the previous two, and the 26-year-old Royal can be seen staring intensely into the camera while holding a gorgeous silk scarf in Gucci’s iconic Flora pattern. “Today, Flora has become a symbol of the Gucci woman’s effortless fusion of tradition and contemporary poise,” said Gucci creative director Frida Giannini. “The print holds special meaning to me — I first discovered the scarf when my mother and grandmother would wear theirs during my childhood in the Seventies.” The Flora scarf should hold a special place in Charlotte’s heart too, as the pattern was created by Italian artist Vittorio Accornero, which was based on the scarf that Rodolfo Gucci (son Guccio Gucci) gave Grace Kelly back in 1966. Talk about nostalgia! Do you like the third Forever Now ad campaign? Is it your favourite so far? [Grazia]

Gucci collaborates with Manga artist for new window displays

We knew it wouldn’t be long until the first collaboration of the new year came about! Gucci didn’t hang around with getting rid of the Christmas decorations in its windows, as the Italian fashion House has replaced them with some good old fashioned manga. Didn’t expect that, did you? Creative director Frida Giannini has joined forces with legendary Japanese Manga artist Hirohiko Araki to decorate the windows of over 70 different Gucci stores around the world with the “Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci” display. “I am quite sure his window installations will stop people in their tracks in cities around the world as they immerse themselves in the fabulous fantasy world he has created,” Frida Giannini said of the window display. We know the Gucci Creative Director is pretty pleased with the collaboration, and it looks like the Manga designer is chuffed with his new role too. “Frida’s beautiful Cruise collection with its strong colours and graphic designs set my mind racing the moment she showed it to me,” he said. “From there the characters and storyline came into being so naturally. It was very stimulating to work together on this project.” We think the images are pretty stunning, and imagine they will be even better up close and personal. Keep your eyes peeled for them! Frida Giannini and her partner Patrizio Di Marco – who also happens to be the president and CEO of Gucci – have reportedly been dating since June 2009, and the pair will be expecting their first child next year. According to WWD, Frida will start her maternity leave after the Gucci Fashion Week shows in February, and make a prompt return for the menswear show in June. Joining Frida in the expectant celeb mother club is Jessica Simpson, who is pregnant just seven months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell. Jess has done really well losing her pregnancy weight (see pic above for proof – you go, girl!) and now it looks like she can have fun putting some of it back on again! We’ve added Jessica and Frida’s names to our ever-expanding “maternity style watch” list, which also consists of Lara Stone, Rochelle Wiseman, Fearne Cotton and Gisele to name but a few.

Nicole Scherzinger gets sexy in Gucci for Marie Claire UK December

Another stunning December cover to gaze at, this time courtesy of former Pussycat Doll, current X Factor judge and all-round sexpot Nicole Scherzinger. And it isn’t just the Marie Claire UK cover that Nicole is looking smoking’ on, as she poses seductively in a series of lust-worthy outfits from the likes of Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo and Dolce and Gabbana among others. Now it’s no secret that Nicole speaks her mind on the X Factor, so it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that she really opened up during the accompanying interview. She talked relationships, success, money and even babies… “I don’t want to have kids now,” she said. When I’m a mum, I’m not going to be one of those mums who has nannies. Actually, I might have nannies – never say never – but I’m not having someone else raise my kids. I think five years might be a good time to look at having children, but I think whenever it’s meant to happen is when it will happen. Right now, I’m focusing on my career. “I see lots of women having beautiful children later in life now. And, if not, just freeze your eggs!” We can’t wait for the world to be introduced to mini-Nicoles…  just imagine the talent?! You can read the rest of the interview and see more beautiful pictures in Marie Claire’s December issue, out tomorrow. [Images c/o Marie Claire/David Roemer]

Rosie Huntington Whiteley is gorgeous in green Gucci gown

Oh Rosie, how we envy you! We envy your impossibly long legs, your natural beauty, your hot boyfriend… we could go on for hours! When we saw the pic on the left, we thought Rosie Huntington Whiteley looked phenomenal as she attended Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s second annual Art + Film Gala in a Gucci dress from the spring/summer 2013 collection. We could definitely see ourselves in a similar dress! When we saw the one on the right though, our hearts sank as the revealing nature of the dress was very evident. It’s a bit of a two for the price of one dress; sleek and simple (but still so very sexy) in the front, and fussy and provocative at the side and back. Everyone loves frills, but how many people can get away with that much side-boob on show while still maintaining pure class and elegance? The answer is… probably not many! Guess this goes to show why Rosie does what she does and why she continues to be one of the most desirable women in the world! [poll id=”375″]

Zoe Saldana scoops Best Dressed of the Week in Gucci

Oh, we are suckers for a dreamy gown on the red carpet, and Zoe Saldana’s Resort 2013 Gucci number ticks all the right boxes! The actress wore this stunning pleated gown to pick up her gong for ‘Favourite Movie Actress in a Drama Adventure’ at the 2012 Alma Awards last Sunday, and we think she should’ve won another one for Best Dressed! (Well, she does from us.) The desert rose shade of Zoe’s gown perfectly complements her skin tone, and ensuring all eyes were on her drop dead gorgeous gown, Zoe kept accessories to a minimum; opting for a silhouette-creating beaded belt and matching Irene Neuwirth rose quartz drop earrings. We particularly love the deep v-slit neckline and ruffled shoulder detailing to add some drama to a red carpet look, and Zoe’s fuss-free ponytail and smoky-eyed makeup are the perfect finishing touches to this classic and charming look. Zoe, here’s another title to add to your super style star CV!

Blake Lively stuns in Gucci at the Venice Film Festival

Quelle surprise; Blake Lively turns up to a red carpet event and looks flawless. We know we’ve sung this tune a thousand times, but it never really gets old as far as our fave leggy blonde Gossip Girl actress is concerned. Blake turned up to the Hotel Cipriani during the Venice Film Festival for the launch party of Gucci Première, the brand spanking new scent from the fashion House that she is of course the face of. Ms Lively showed off some of her best assets in the custom, sparkling burgundy-coloured Gucci dress, which she accessorised with minimalist, matching Gucci strappy heels and her trademark slightly dishevelled hairstyle. You know, the one that screams “I got dressed in under five minutes and look how unfairly gorgeous I look!”. Another flawless red carpet appearance from the blonde goddess, but then again, when do we get anything less than perfection from Blake Lively? [Image c/o Gucci]

Kristen Stewart is moody in Gucci for British Vogue’s October cover

British Vogue hit the nail right on the head by tapping Karlie Kloss, one of the biggest and most in-demand models, for its all-important September issue (well played, guys!) and now it’s only gone and picked one of the most talked-about young actresses for its October issue too. We’re expecting big things for November now guys, you’ve set the bar really high, so no disappointing us now! Yep, Kristen Stewart is well and truly the October cover girl for the UK version of the fashion Bible, and we think she looks rather incredible in her Gucci attire. We adored her respective Elle UK and Elle US cover shoots, but there’s something empowering, somewhat haunting, about this Mario Testino lensed image that makes it our firm favourite. We genuinely can’t take our eyes off her! We have every faith that the editorial is going to be just as captivating; after all, if it’s a dark, brooding and solemn themed shoot, K-Stew has all that Twilight experience to get inspiration from!

Robert Pattinson is gorgeous in Gucci at Cosmopolis premiere

Anna Wintour has totally inspired us. We read what she had to say about breaking the rules on her first Vogue cover, so we decided to break some rules too… by turning our attention to a man’s style for a change. Not just any man mind… the ultra-dreamy British heartthrob that is Mr Robert Pattinson. Drool! We have to hand it to R-Pattz, who got all suited and booted in a stunning blue-grey Gucci piece and braved the red carpet for the New York premiere of Cosmopolis, as it was his first public appearance since all that Kristen Stewart cheating hoopla. We don’t like to comment on people’s personal lives (honest, we don’t…) but we think heartbreak actually agrees with him. R-Pattz and his beautifully chiseled face have never looked more gorgeous! Is it because his sudden availability and vulnerability makes him even more attractive? Let us know your thoughts! We’re here for hugs if you need us Robert!

Blake Lively’s Gucci Première commercial finally lands – and it’s stunning!

It’s a busy week for Gucci! Just yesterday we showed you the second of four Charlotte Casiraghi Forever Now ad campaign images, and today we have something just as, if not more, special. It’s finally time to see Blake Lively in action, as the video commercial for her Gucci Première fragrance has finally surfaced. And yes, all of those clichés like saving the best til last and good things coming to those who wait all apply in this situation. The short film was shot by Nicholas Winding Refn, and features the blonde actress looking like a true golden Hollywood goddess in not one, but two jaw-droppingly gorgeous Gucci gowns. We know Blake is used to dressing in lavish gowns on Gossip Girl, but we don’t think we’ve ever seen her looking so seductive and sumptuous. Are you loving this as much as we are? http://youtu.be/NzV3GRtwftQ [Gucci Parfums]

Charlotte Casiraghi’s new Gucci Forever Now ads are here!

Back in March, we showed you Charlotte’s Casiraghi’s debut Gucci Forever Now ad campaign which was shot by world-renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh, and now it’s time to take a look at someone else’s efforts behind the camera. (Don’t worry, there are still two more instalments to come in case you haven’t got your full Charlotte/Gucci fix.) This time round, it was the turn of photography duo Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin to capture the granddaughter of the late Princess Grace of Monaco, opting to shoot her in a series of stunning black and white images. Once again, we love the casual, equestrian feel of the campaign, and the iconic Gucci horsebit loafers haven’t gone unnoticed either. Charlotte’s casual styling is the perfect balance of glamour and effortlessness – Grace Kelly would have been proud! [Telegraph]

We’ve been crushing on her Savages promo tour wardrobe for the past week now, but it’s her brand new duties at Gucci that we are focusing our attention on this morning. STYLE JURY: Rate or Slate Kelly Osbourne in Georges Hobeika, Kate Beckinsale in Atelier Versace and Cameron Diaz in Gucci

The biggest night in Hollywood, Oscar night on Sunday, brought with it several dream (and disaster) dresses. We fell in love some of the red carpet and after-party looks from the night, but again we find ourselves on the fence with this week’s Rate or Slate options. First up is Kelly Osbourne in a Georges Hobeika gown at Elton John’s post-Oscars bash, closely followed by Kate Beckinsale in a sequinned Atelier Versace number at the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party and Cameron Diaz in Gucci on the Oscar red carpet. We’re teetering on yay or nay territory again, and thanking our lucky fashion stars that the watchful eye of Style Jury has come to the rescue. Oscar night is a HUGE deal and so should the dresses worn by the A-Listers on the night be. It’s over to our Style Jury… My Fashion Life News Ed says: Kelly Osbourne: ‘Although I preferred Kelly’s black Badgley Mischka gown, this was the perfect choice for the after party as she looked more relaxed in it – and good job on accentuating her evaporating waist with the belt! There’s always going to be added pressure on Kelly now that she’s part of Fashion Police, but she got it right on Oscars night, so she can breathe a sigh of relief.’ Kate Beckinsale: ‘After falling in love with her hot pink Diane von Furstenberg jumpsuit at the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards, I was a little disappointed with this Oscar look. The dress itself wasn’t the problem, I just expected more from such a stylish dresser on the most important red carpet day of the year. Her hair and make-up, as always, were flawless though.’ Cameron Diaz: ‘The colour was a bit safe, but the fancy detailing on the dress more than made up for it. […]
