The New CYBEX By Jeremy Scott Capsule Collection

Known for his bold designs which are loved by celebrities including Katy Perry, Madonna and Rihanna to name a few, fashion designer Jeremy Scott has partnered with global lifestyle brand CYBEX for a second instalment of parenting products. More toned down than the last collection, the new collaboration consists of solely black products including a carry cot, lux seat and an infant car seat as well as other stylish accessories all tied together aesthetically with a touch of gold, in the form of Scott’s personalised angel “wings”. Talking about the collaboration, Scott said, “CYBEX founder Martin Pos’s enthusiasm and passion for creating the best, most stylish ad coolest products for parents are, for sure, the reasons I chose to work with CYBEX again.” Available exclusively at Harrods, the capsule collection also includes a baby carrier, changing bag and t-shirts for kids, women & men. New York Fashion Week SS15 highlights from Jeremy Scott, Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler and more!

We were particularly excited for the Jeremy Scott spring/summer 2015 show, as Miley Cyrus hinted that she would have something to do with it back at the MTV VMAs a few weeks ago. And she certainly wasn’t telling porkies, as she was in fact walking the runway for her good friend Jeremy Scott – and if we’re being honest, it almost seems like his entire collection was made exclusively for her. The pair also unveiled a  series of accessories titled Dirty Hippy – which essentially look like they’re made of kids’ toys and all things nineties. So girls, you know where to get your new wardrobe from if you want to channel Miley… Elsewhere, the New York Fashion Week spring/summer 2015 catwalks saw collections from Betsey Johnson – which was as wild and fairytale like as you would imagine – and Proenza Schouler, among others. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez made sportswear a pretty big part of their latest Proenza Schouler collection, although it was juxtaposed nicely with some fierce parkas, casual jumpers, and more leather than you could shake a stick at. Leather trousers? Check! Leather incorporated in polo necks? Check check! Michael Kors presented a stereotypically happy and upbeat collection comprised of fun stripe and gingham prints, bold colours and cute separates. Flowers and sequins were in abundance – sometimes on their own, sometimes together! Here are some of our highlights from the latest New York Fashion Week shows: Jeremy Scott Proenza Schouler Michael Kors Betsey Johnson

Jeremy Scott and Miley Cyrus team up for New York Fashion Week!

The MTV VMAs taught us a lot of things. It taught us that double denim is just as powerful today as it was back in 2001, and also taught us that there’s nothing better than receiving an award from your husband and gorgeous daughter. The other thing we learned whilst watching the MTV VMAs is that Miley Cyrus and Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott have something very exciting up their sleeves for the designer’s forthcoming New York Fashion Week show for his eponymous label next month… but the pair are being quite secretive about it. D’oh! “Miley and I have something very exciting we’re brewing up for the future,” he told MTV. “I’m going to let her announce it. You try to bug her when you see her.” Our eyes are firmly peeled on Miley’s social media platforms just in case any more clues about the collaboration come out. We predict that it will be loud, bold, and totally outrageous! [Vogue]

Jeremy Scott’s hot supermodel line-up for Moschino autumn/winter 2014 ads

Jeremy Scott definitely made us pay attention when he took the helm at Moschino thanks to his loud and proud autumn/winter 2014 collection which debuted on the runway earlier this year; so why should the accompanying ad campaigns be any different? Jeremy Scott must be a fan of that go big or go home mantra, because he has enlisted the help of some of the biggest and best supermodels to model his new collection. Shot by Steven Meisel, one of our favourite images from the Moschino autumn/winter 2014 campaign features the gorgeous Linda Evangelista, posing elegantly in some fine Moschino pieces, including the infamous McDonalds bag that has divided opinion this season. Well, if anyone can sway your vote, it’s going to be a top supermodel, don’t you think? Stella Tennant, Carolyn Murphy, Saskia Debraw, Karen Elson and Rachel Zimmerman also make an appearance in the other ad campaign pictures, proving that there’s no such thing as “too many models” in one ad campaign Way to go, Jeremy Scott!

Jeremy Scott cartoon-print denim skirt: Yay or Nay?

We love it because.. It’s Jeremy Scott, that’s why! Bringing unabashed fun to the runway, Scott knows how tickle our fashion fancy when it comes to head-turning looks. Point in case: The Moschino autumn/winter 2014 show. And, once again making us fall in love with his work this week is this cartoon-print denim skirt (£340). The ideal piece for pepping up an off-duty look; you won’t go unnoticed in this little denim number. And, if you’re feeling super-brave, you can even wear it with the matching shirt. Denim-on-denim with a playful twist? YES! We’re saying YAY to… Easy to style: Open to a multitude of styling opportunities, this skirt won’t let your wardrobe down. Wear with  a casual white tee and sneakers for weekend comfort, or team with heels and a leather jacket for cocktail hour. Great summer investment: Looking for the perfect mini to complete your summer wardrobe? Let this be the one – if you haven’t already found ‘The One,’ that is. And NAY to… Price: Well, given it just about grazes your upper thighs, at £340 a pop this skirt will have you feeling the pinch on rent day – and that’s not around the waist, either. One-wear-then-despair: As much as we love the outré, oh-so-Jeremy-Scott print, whether it warrants several wears is another story. Would you dare pull it out again, after a well-applauded debut? Hmm? Decisions, decisions. Jeremy Scott cartoon-print denim skirt, £340, available at Browns.

Major congrats to Jeremy Scott, as the designer has been named as the new Creative Director of Moschino! The news broke last night, with the Twittersphere buzzing with congratulatory messages from everyone from Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus, Kylie and more. “This appointment respects the DNA of the brand as Jeremy Scott represents not only an eclectic and contemporary communicator but most of all a designer capable of re-interpreting the identity and the essence of Moschino,” reads a press release from the brand. Congrats again to Jeremy Scott – we can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve!

Kelly Osbourne in Jeremy Scott

It’s been this week’s hot topic and major event on the fashion calendar – New York Fashion Week, and with top designers showing their spring/summer 2011 collections, Kelly Osbourne wore a Jeremy Scott bustier to his runway show last night. Cementing her place alongside the fashion elite, Kelly took a prestigious seat in the front row next to none other than Kanye West. Ms. Osbourne stayed true to the designer by wearing a gemstone-encrusted Jeremy Scott bustier dress with a cutesy bow at the waist. Looking hotter then ever with this prom-style skirt flattering her figure, she chose to keep the rest simple with no accessories what so ever, bar a pair of tattoo-matching shoes and a super-sleek beehive. All we can say is keep it up, Kel!

Pea-sized prodigies: Meet the 5-year-old Scott Disick

OK. We’re pretty much speechless. Dumbfounded. Beyond words. Because we’ve just witnessed a miniature reincarnation of, maybe, Lord Disick, Justin Bieber and Danny O’Donoghue all rolled into one adorable and well-clothed 5-year-old. Meet social media sensation, Alonso Mateo, the kid-poser from Laguna Beach, who’s effortlessly making waves in the oversubscribed world of Instagram. Executing painstakingly put together looks with the ease of a seasoned Brad Kroenig, Alonso name checks brands including Acne, Jeremy Scott, Dolce & Gabbana and All Saints in his personal walk-in wardrobe (yes, walk-in!). Alonso acquired quite the global fashion following (127,000 followers on Instagram, and counting), after his freelance stylist mother started posting pictures of her son’s looks on the popular social media site. The child style star, who’s giving a bunch of A-list tots a run for their (parents’) money, often picks out his own looks, and poses with such professionalism, you’d think he was a wash cycle shrunken entity from a Testino shoot. But in this environment of over sharing, and with some of the disturbing precedence before a story like this (remember our rant about 10-year-old child model Thylane?), we’re still trying to figure out – after cooing and awwing over Alonso’s shockingly impressive camera credentials – how we feel about this mini man. Although that term in itself is a little disturbing, are the pictures really doing any harm? Expectedly, the account on which his mother posts images has been subject to a tirade of criticism, and sadly, abuse from Nation Selfie, with several users branding the family materialistic and the 5-year-old a ‘spoiled douche’. But come to think of it: which parent doesn’t like to dress their child well if they can afford to? Let’s consider this in the context of fashion editorials. Exploitative on a wide scale, the case of Thyalane […]

Finally. Here’s All The Looks From H&M x Moschino

With over 60 pieces for us women, it’s safe to say Jeremy Scott has exceeded expectations and more with his collaboration with the high street giant. Speaking about his latest venture, Scott said in a statement, “The MOSCHINO [tv] H&M lookbook is like a party; celebrating the fun, the pop, the creativity and the energy of the people and the collection. Men voted ‘bedhead’ the most desirable hairstyle for women!

If you’re a slave to the straighteners, and curling tongs are the bane of your life, then we have some excellent news for you. Men actually prefer the messy “bedhead” look, which means it’s okay to spend that extra half an hour in bed in the morning, as your man will love you for it even more.* *Disclaimer: you should only put the hair utensils down if you care what your boyfriend or husband thinks of your hair. If you like to dress for yourself and don’t care what your man or any other man thinks, then there’s nothing we or anyone else can say to stop you. Go forth and curl/straighten ’til you can curl/straighten no more! “In this day and age of celebrity and lives under the microscope, there is an enormous pressure on ladies to appear flawless at all times or conform to trends,” said Matthew Wood of vouchercloud.com, the site which commissioned the survey to find out what hairstyles men prefer on women. “Unfortunately, many think this means manipulating their locks to excess, when in actual fact this just makes it seem as if there is something to hide, which is why I think so many men have voted for the messy or bed-head hairstyle. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say, and I think the men of today would prefer someone who is more natural and confident in their appearance, who feels happy as they are.” Well that’s what Matthew Wood thinks, but what did the men surveyed think? The men who voted for the bedhead look said the woman was likely to be “less high-maintenance and more relaxed”, as well as the fact that “she would hopefully require less time at the mirror getting ready.” And as for the hairstyle […]

Milan Fashion Week SS15 highlights from Dolce and Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Giorgio Armani and more!

Jeremy Scott definitely got Milan Fashion Week off to a flying start thanks to his Barbie inspired collection for Moschino, but that isn’t the only collection that has blown us away in Italy. The past few days have seen some of the biggest and memorable shows take place, with the likes of Dolce and Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli and Giorgio Armani proving particularly powerful. Although Dolce and Gabbana has been as Sicilian as it gets the past few seasons, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana took their inspiration from Spain for the spring/summer 2015 collection. There was a definite matador theme running through the entire catwalk show, with red and black being the prominent colours throughout. Some of the biggest and most in-demand models could be found on the Emilio Pucci catwalk – from Naomi Campbell to Joan Smalls and Kendall Jenner – they were all there strutting their stuff in Peter Dundas’s floaty explosion-of-colour creations. Tie dye is back, people! Take a look at the rest of our highlights from Milan Fashion Week below and let us know what your favourite pieces are: Emilio Pucci Dolce and Gabbana Giorgio Armani Roberto Cavalli

Pieces from the Barbie inspired Moschino SS15 collection can be yours RIGHT NOW!

We told you on Friday that Jeremy Scott had taken inspiration from everyone’s favourite plastic doll Barbie for the Moschino spring/summer 2015 collection which he unveiled during Milan Fashion Week… and the whole thing went down an absolute storm. Why wouldn’t it? Barbie is an icon! Therefore Jeremy Scott and the rest of the Moschino team are keen for us to get our Barbie fix asap, which is why they’ve released a 28-piece capsule collection of Barbie inspired pieces that are available to snap up right now! A prime example of fast fashion at its finest! The capsule collection features everything you need to take sartorial inspiration from the plastic fantastic doll, including black and pink cropped tops, fabulous pink clutch bags, headbands, and even a wonderful slogan tee which reads “it’s expensive being Moschino”. But perhaps out favourite piece from the collection is a phone case which comes with a large and very OTT (but so very Barbie) mirror on the back to help ensure you’re “selfie ready” whenever the moment inevitably strikes. Jeremy Scott – you’re a genius!

Is the ‘wear it now’ culture killing fashion?

That painful, lust-filled feeling when seeing a new season handbag or coat roll onto the runway, dripping with exclusivity and screaming ‘I’m unavailable!’ is something we fashion folk are all too familiar with. Although the A-listers gracing the front rows have already made mental lists of what they’ll be cherry-picking a week from the shows, us mere mortals can only but dream to wait six months before landing even so much a whiff of box fresh Prada, and so on. Thanks to the fashion functions of e-tail giants such as LuisaViaRoma and Moda Operandi, the ‘pre-order’ culture has allowed fashion enthusiasts to secure a slice of next season, well in advance of the rat race to land the most coveted pieces. A glance on the latter’s site, and you’re welcomed by Jonathan’s Simkhai’s luxe creations for autumn/winter ’14, yours by July. Amazing, no? Exclusive, certainly. Exciting, definitely. But what happens when this element of anticipation is completely wiped from the fashion equation? Celebrities must fear this all the time, leading to many one dress-two girls’ scenarios; but what of the fashion consumer who enjoys a liberal bank balance when it comes to satiating sartorial desires? Writer Bertie Brandes recently penned a thought-provoking piece for i-D on the immediacy of fashion collections being the new ‘in’ thing, and it really got us thinking. Part of the allure of the industry, Brandes argues, is the idea of exclusivity: that ‘you can’t sit with us’ mentality which seems to draw even more people in, wanting to be part of a well dressed (Mean Girls?) clan. Commenting on the now widely available (and infamous) Moschino AW14 collection, designed by Jeremy Scott, Brandes discusses the impatience of the new consumer, deftly summing up this shop-as-you-view culture in the following words: “Inclusive is the by word […]

Rita Ora works two Moschino looks in London

When we saw Jeremy Scott unveil his debut collection for Moschino back in February, we knew that we would be seeing the boldest of fashionistas braving his pop culture influenced designs. Katy Perry and Anna Dello Russo have already stepped out in designs from the Moschino autumn/winter 2014 collection – and owned them, may we add – but Rita Ora is giving it a jolly good go, too. The singer rocked not one but two outfits from the recent Moschino collection – rocking them both with ease, as expected. Rita had some fun with her sartorial choice while promoting her new single I Will Never Let You Down in London’s Leicester Square by donning the Spongebob Squarepants jumper dress and teaming it with some matching shoes and an infectious smile! She then smarted up at the Kiss FM studios by wearing the high waisted red trousers with a cute pale yellow blouse that paid homage to everyone’s favourite fast food chain, McDonalds. We can’t help but love both of these looks; which one is your favourite?

Jourdan Dunn vs. Anna Dello Russo…Who wore Moschino better?

This week’s dress-off has pulled in two major fashion players, both of whom know how to leave their well-dressed imprints on our style-saturated minds. Upping the glam factor during Fashion Month, as per usual, was Anna Dello Russo – the high priestess of unabashed, high end fashion that says nothing of a tamed approach to dressing in the morning. Sporting autumn/winter ‘14’s biggest parody of fast fashion – the ‘Over 20 Billion Served’ McDonald’s sweatshirt, masterminded by Jeremy Scott at Moschino – during Milan Fashion Week, ADR gave us (and the flurry of street style photogs) pure, unadulterated viewing pleasure. Wearing it as a dress, she accessorised with a matching quilted bag, featuring the symbolic Golden Arches; a woollen scarf and lace-up booties. The matching phone cover certifies this look as Dello Russo down to a T. But, putting a slightly more pared back spin on this brash runway number was Brit babe Jourdan Dunn, who opted to take a much more NYC approach with her styling. Tempering the loudness of the sweat with all-black staples; a leather mini skirt, shearling coat, trusty tote and Balenciaga cut-out boots completed the look. Perfect. So, who deserves to be crowned the sartorial queen in this war of wonderful wares? Given there’s a world of difference between the styles of these two fashion queens; we’re sticking with our slick style guns on this and awarding Jourdan the accolade. Anna’s power dressing prowess never fails to excite, but Jourdan’s effortless ease makes her look a lot more wearable. You go, girl. [Images: Jourdan; Anna]

Former Moschino creative director Rosella Jardini recruited by Angela Missoni

If you wanted to know what Rosella Jardini – the brains behind Moschino for the past 19 years – was up to now that Jeremy Scott has taken over as creative director of the brand, then we have the answers right here. She’s been recruited by her friend Angela Missoni to lend a helping hand and “exchange ideas” on future collections. “She is an experienced and extraordinary designer, expert in merchandising, photography, style, fabrics and shapes,” Angela Missoni said. “She is like family. I’ve known her for so long.” We look forward to seeing what Rosella Jardini brings to the Missoni table, especially if her work at Moschino is anything to go by. Don’t forget to check out the current Moschino collection – Jeremy Scott’s first – and let us know what you think. [WWD]

Milan Fashion Week AW14 highlights from Moschino, Fendi, Prada & more

We have no idea why Milan Fashion Week isn’t as popular as New York, London or Paris, because the latest collections to debut on the Italian catwalks were out of this world. We don’t think Giorgio Armani is going to have too much of a tough time getting support for MFW if the latest shows from Moschino, Prada, Fendi and Just Cavalli were anything to go by. Jeremy Scott’s first collection for Moschino was always going to be an interesting one, and we definitely think he met expectations and pulled a stellar collection – and catwalk show – out the bag! Jeremy Scott showcased everything from a revamped McDonalds logo to everyone’s favourite little underwater creature, Spongebob Squarepants, to all-else in-between. Katy Perry and Rita Ora showed no signs of a hangover – despite partying until the wee hours of the morning after attending the Brits – as they were the modelling guests of honour on the Moschino autumn/winter 2014 catwalk. The ladies stole the show as they strutted down the catwalk to take their well-deserved seats in the front row to watch the rest of the new-season pieces make their debut. If they ever fancy a career change, we definitely think they have what it takes to make it big in the modelling world! If we could take only two things away from the Fendi autumn/winter 2014 show, it would be the Karl Lagerfeld doll/handbag which Cara Delevingne (who was walking exclusively for Fendi, may we add) carried down the catwalk, Georgia May Jagger’s outfit. We love GMJ at the best of times, but her appearance on the Fendi catwalk was above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. Kaiser Karl himself described the Fendi collection as brutal and poetic, and we definitely got that memo given all the […]

What’s Roberto Cavalli got lined up for Miley Cyrus’s tour wardrobe?

Miley Cyrus, she of the very little clothing, has enlisted the help of some of the hottest designers for her Bangerz tour wardrobe, including Jeremy Scott, The Blonds, her good pal Marc Jacobs, and Roberto Cavalli. We know that Roberto Cavalli is somewhat of a stage costume expert having created tour outfits for Beyonce, Cheryl Cole and even the Spice Girls in the past, so we know that Miley is in good hands. Hands that will create some very daring outfits that will have fans and critics alike talking for days! And judging from the teaser sketches that RC has just released (above), it doesn’t look like Miley will be holding back as far as attention-grabbing, flesh-flashing outfits are concerned. No surprises there, really. We predict that the skin-coloured bodysuits (one with a sheer zebra pattern and the other crystal encrusted one reminiscent to Britney’s Toxic video bodysuit back in the day) in particular are going to send the red blooded males wild. Now, we wonder what Marc Jacobs and co have up their sleeves… [Fashionista]

Chloe Moretz wows in Christian Dior for InStyle UK August issue

Another fashion glossy cover to entice you with this Friday morning, this time courtesy of InStyle UK and Chloe Moretz. She’s not the little girl we first saw in Kick Ass anymore, that’s for sure! She is rocking some seriously fashionable threads on her photoshoot, from likes of Christian Dior on the cover to Simone Rocha and Jeremy Scott in the editorial. We always got the feeling that Chloe Moretz had a good head on her shoulders, and that; pretty much confirmed in the accompanying interview. See, not all child actresses go down the wrong road. We love what she had to say about the prospect of falling in love one day, and getting advice from new Reed Krakoff ad campaign star Julianne Moore. “You think, ‘Who’s out to deceive me?’ That’s hard,” she said. “Especially growing up and liking guys and, maybe, ‘Do you want to be in a relationship? Is this person trying to be in my life because I’m famous?’ You can’t just like someone. They might be using you. “I talk to Julianne Moore [her Carrie co-star] about it and she says, ‘Look, just be careful. Trust your judgment but don’t get in too deep sometimes.’ Because, you know, when you’re young, you fall in love and don’t know it’s happening.” Very wise words from Chloe Moretz there, with a little help from Julianne Moore. We can’t wait to sink our teeth into August’s InStyle UK issue. Click here to check out more teaser pics and see more interview snippets.

Steep vs Cheap: Acne ‘Pistol’ Boots

‘Tis the shoe that is owned by many a fashion editor and we’ll no doubt be seeing it springing up all over the place at the forthcoming fashion weeks. With their round toe and stacked heel, the Acne ‘Pistol’ Boots have definitely reached cult status. The wave of Western inspired designs we saw on the catwalk from the likes of Just Cavalli, Jeremy Scott and Thakoon mean cowboy boots are big news. Although, not the big chunky embroidered ones we saw seasons ago. No the trend now is much more understated and these boots are absolute perfection. With a heel giving just enough height and in a gorgeous tan colour, we love them. Although if £370 is a bit out of your price range, look no further than Topshop. Their ‘Ambush’ boots are widely regarded as the next best thing to the Acne ‘Pistols’ and, we have to admit, they are strikingly similar. With an identical stacked heel, side zip and round toe and in tan leather too, they are definitely the next best thing. And at a fraction of the price, what is not to love? Acne ‘Pistol’ Boots, £370, available at Matches. ‘Ambush’ Ankle Boots, £75, available at Topshop.

It’s Barbie party time

We love a good party, and last night saw the ultimate birthday for the original party girl Barbie. The glitterati were out in force to celebrate their favorite doll. The party was held at fashion emporium Dover Street Market and was hosted by designer Henry Holland. Guests included Jade Parfitt, Stephen Jones, Nick Grimshaw and Peaches Geldof. They were treated to pink champagne and glittery cupcakes, what else could a girl possibly need? Well, maybe a fabulous goody bag and a limited edition Barbie to take home, guests could choose from Cher, Bikini, Grease or Batgirl, one Batgirl Barbie for me please! The whole event was in aid of the Barbie pop up shop, which opens today for two weeks. You’ll be able to get your hands on those Roksanda Illincic and Danielle Scutt designed dolls, as well as Gareth Pugh’s Ken doll. Not forgetting Jeremy Scott’s highly logoed Barbie wear. You’d better hurry if you want a piece, you know stocks won’t last. Pink is definitely the new black. [Image]

Ralph Lauren’s Collection At NYFW Is Everything We Aspire Our Wardrobes To Be

Wow, wow, wow….And just like that, our hearts literally skipped a beat when we saw Bella Hadid in this amazing metallic gold pleated dress. Courtesy of Ralph Lauren, this stunning piece (which may we add would be absolutely perfect for party season), made it’s debut at New York Fashion Week. Held at the Ralph Lauren Madison Avenue boutique which was converted into “Ralph’s Coffee Shop”, unlike other designers during fashion week whom are presenting what they think we should be wearing this autumn/winter, Ralph Lauren gave us a beautiful collection for Spring/Summer’19. Dominated by gold and black, with sprinkles of white and florals (because it wouldn’t be a spring presentation without florals), the collection was the epitome of elegance and sophistication. Best of all, it’s available to shop right now, but sadly we can’t seem to find the dress in question *sigh*. We shall keep you posted! [Images]
