Dianna Agron is Worst Dressed of the Week in Louis Vuitton

Sometimes, a look creeps up on the red carpet that we remain undecided about: it’s not bad, nor it is appealing by any means; but it irks our style-appreciating radar and words need to be said! Such a look sending our sartorial signals into overdrive this week (and not for the right reasons) comes courtesy of Dianna Agron, who attended the MOCA 35th anniversary gala hosted by Louis Vuitton last week in a rather peculiar outfit. Naturally wearing a runway-fresh look from the Louis Vuitton autumn/winter ’14 collection; broken down, the outfit isn’t all too bad: an embroidered dress with belted waist makes for a form-flattering look, but the shoe choice has left us a little baffled. And this is the problem runway-to-red carpet looks pose: they appear suited to lofty models, but when ‘real’ women of a petite build sport the same look, the results are very different. Owing to Dianna’s shorter height, the ankle boots seems a little harsh against the floaty style of the dress, and a strappy sandal or simple pump would’ve sufficed to lengthen her overall silhouette. We’re diggin’ that cinched waist, though! What do you make of Dianna’s look? [Image]

Dianna Agron stuns in Oscar de la Renta at ABC

We know that her Glee costar Lea Michele loves her some Oscar de la Renta – and he clearly loves her back given all the dresses he creates for her – but this time round it’s all about Dianna Agron. The former Glee star looked nothing short of sensational in a black Oscar de a Renta skirt while promoting her new film My Family at the ABC Studios in New York. ODLR may have just presented his spring/summer 2014 collection during New York Fashion Week, but we are obsessed with the autumn/winter 2014 skirt Dianna wore. We mainly love it because of the simplicity and effortlessness of the overall look – who new a simple black tank top and all-black matching accessories would be so powerful? This is the most chic, fashion forward, elegant and age-appropriate look we think we’ve ever seen from Dianna – we wait for her next big appearance with baited breath as the style bar has now been raised! Style crushing on Dianna Agron’s flirty floral Hollywood look

We can always count on the Glee girls to remind us the spring/summer season is on its way and make a style statement at the same time. Dianna Agron attended the ‘25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon’ in Holllywood yesterday evening, and looked blooming gorgeous (geddit?) in her Oday Shakar dress from the spring/summer 2013 collection. A floral below-the-knee dress teamed with a loose up-do might sound a tad ageing in theory, but on Dianna the look seemed to come together quite flawlessly. We love how she accessorised with matching hues of purple in the form of bright sandals and a clutch in a contrasting, deeper shade of the colour. Plus, top marks to the make-up artist for giving Dianna that enviable youthful porcelain air-brushed beauty look. [Image]

Amanda Seyfried and Dianna Agron rock Miu Miu for the PFW show

Blonde cuties Amanda Seyfried and Glee’s Dianna Agron were sitting pretty on the Miu Miu FROW yesterday, and we reckon that both girls looked gorgeous in their respective Miu Miu ensembles. We’ve seen a few ladies rock the red tux recently, namely Blake Lively and Rihanna, but it was Amanda’s turn to give it a go … and we think she nailed it! Do we think she gave Mrs Reynolds and Ri-Ri a run for their money? We’re going to say “yes” purely because we admire her for being brave enough to try the dark, gothic lipstick – which she pulled off with complete and utter ease! While Amanda went for vampy sex-goddess, Dianna’s outfit was more on the adorable side, as she looked like she stepped right out of a time machine from the 60s. She’s a versatile dresser and that’s exactly what we like to see from the young Hollywood stars. Again, the purple tights and beehive hair could have looked wrong on so many people, but thankfully Dianna isn’t one of them! Who’s your fave?

Diane Kruger and Dianna Agron sport contrasting looks at Louis Vuitton party

Blonde beauties Diane Kruger and Dianna Agron both attended a fab Louis Vuitton party at New York’s Whitney museum last night to celebrate the brand’s collaboration with Yayoi Kusama. We thought all of the guests would embrace the loud theme of the Louis Vuitton for Yayoi Kusama collection, but Diane Kruger proved that even the most minimal of outfits can hold its own in a room full of bold and colourful decor and guests. Diane once again showcased her style credentials as she wore a sheer (but not in the trashy way, thank you) maxi skirt paired with a gorgeous brown, white and blue kimono jacket. Her up-do and gold earrings complemented the rest of her look perfectly – top marks to Diane, as usual! Glee’s Dianna Agron also ranked highly, as she really turned on the wow-factor in an embellished, printed blue, black and brown dress. Although she wore plain shoes and minimal jewellery, Dianna made up for it with her ultra-glam make-up and expertly tousled hair. She definitely embraced the theme of the collection and occasion! Both blonde bombshells looked divine at the event, but whose look do you prefer? [poll id=”357″] [Images]

Rate or Slate: Solange Knowles in Carven vs. Brooklyn Decker in J.Mendel vs. Dianna Agron in Alice + Olivia

This week’s rate or slate brought up some head-turners, but not necessarily for all the right reason, might we add. Solange Knowles, famed for her cool style sense complete with an eccentric kick in the behind for conventional fashion, showed up at the Hennessy ‘Wild Rabbit’ Campaign Launch Event in a tribal inspired Carven SS’12 number. Brooklyn Decker has been doing the promo rounds for her latest film, Battleship, also starring Rihanna, in some rather impressive ensembles, but we’re stuck on this J.Mendel Fall 2012 lamé sleeved dress she wore to the movie’s Sydney premiere – yay or nay? Glee star Dianna Agron sported a floral Alice + Olivia Fall 2012 dress for her guest appearance on The View. Does Dianna rock hyper-floral, or is the coat strangling the plant life on her dress? It’s over to our Style Jury…. Fashion News Ed says: Brooklyn Decker: ‘Despite not being terribly fond of the gold sleeves, I love the rest ofBrooklyn’s outfit, and I’m really pleased she left her golden locks flowing for a more playful look.’ Dianna Agron: ‘When she took the coat off, Dianna looked flawless which is why she is my favourite out of the three ladies. Although the coat and the up-do make the look a bit office-y, she looked cute as a button and uber-stylish when she took it off which is what I am basing my opinion on.’ Solange Knowles: ‘I usually love Solange’s bold fashion choices, but something isn’t right here… I think the length of the dress, the pumped up cleavage and the shoes all contribute in one way or another. Sorry, Solange!’ You say: ‘Brooklyn rocks! – @LeChicUSA via Twitter ‘Brooklyn is always #1’ – @pinklipsTV via Twitter Verdict: RATE to the power of one! Brooklyn Decker in J.Mendel is this week’s clear […]

Dianna Argon…sizzlingly Sexy on David Letterman

Some might call it a faux pas to wear top to toe black in the summer, but Dianna Agron’s vampy chic is getting us excited for this year’s autumnal fashions. Rocking Stella McCartney, Dianna wowed fans and fashion followers alike outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre where she was busy filming the Late Show with David Letterman. A million miles away from the butter wouldn’t melt cheerleaders uniform of her onscreen alter ego Quinn Fabray, Dianna looks sizzlingly sexy yet incredibly sophisticated in this gorgeous outfit. A McCartney ensemble as dramatic as this can be hard to pull off without looking too try hard, but by foregoing accessories Dianna keeps the look sharp, while red lips oozes feminine but unfussy. Though she’s famed for her beauty rather than her wardrobe, this look should make Dianna a poster child for this years A/W trends. The pencil skirt is the skirt shape of 2011, and Dianna works it to perfection, her sweet pose giving it the right amount of demure while bare calves, killer heels and gorgeous curves give it a Mad Men inspired kick of sexy that will have Christina Hendricks running for her money. Thumbs up all round! What do you think?

Lea Michele does exposed underwear right at Glee 100th episode celebration

We were in two minds about Kim Kardashian’s exposed underwear look last week, but Glee’s leading lady Ms Lea Michele showed Kim – and the rest of the world – how to do it right. Lea and the rest of her Glee family, from Naya Rivera to Dianna Agron, walked the red carpet to celebrate the show’s 100th episode at LA’s swanky Chateau Marmont, but we definitely think she stole the show as far as outfits were concerned. And who are we kidding, Lea Michele would steal the show as far as vocal talent goes, too! Lea kept the rest of her look simple by pulling her luscious locks back and keeping jewellery and other accessories to a minimum. There’s no getting away from her gorgeous Brian Atwood sandals though – those shoes were made for walking commanding attention on the red carpet!

Midweek Moodboard: Totally lovin’ the turquoise

It’s been a few days since the big event now, but we still find ourselves flicking through all the pics of the celebs at Monday night’s Met Gala. As much as we loved the metallic, black, and nude dresses, regular MFL readers will know that we cant resist a bit of colour. And Dianna Agron in her stunning turquoise Carolina Herrera gown was one of the brightest and cheeriest there!

Jessica Alba rocks bright Fendi at The Honest Life book signing

Jessica Alba is walking, talking, breathing proof that you can make a style statement and wow the crowd in just about anything. We thought we’d give you a break from the full-length gowns and pretty tea dresses and finish the week off by admiring a chic and casual trouser-and-blazer combo look instead. And who better to learn from than style goddess Jessica Alba?! Jess rocked the colour clashing trend at the New York signing of her new book The Honest Life, by donning smart green cropped trousers with a chic, bright orange jacket – both of which came from the Fendi pre-fall 2013 collection. Nice garb, if you can afford it! We love how she toned the accessories down by opting for a neutral, un-distracting pair of Manolo Blahniks, and top marks for toting one of the coveted Salvatore Ferragamo Sofia bags. Jessica’s silky golden locks didn’t do the look any harm either!
