Get Poppy Delevingne’s lip print Desigual look

Poppy Delevingne really does seem to have it all right now. She has one of the most famous model sisters in the world, a gorgeous husband, and a very covetable wedding photo album to flick through for the rest of her life. She also has impeccable style and, from what we gather, a never-ending wardrobe which we are more than a little jealous of. We’ve pretty much come to terms with the fact that we probably won’t ever come close to owning as many designer threads as she does, but we do our best to keep an eye out forher more affordable pieces, to ensure that we snap them up as soon as they become available. So, with that in mind, we’re pleased to tell you that Poppy’s black and pink lip print dress which she wore during New York Fashion Week is from none other than Desigual… and you can snap it up for less than £90. Looking like a Delevingne doesn’t always have to come at a bank-breaking cost! Marina knitted dress, £89, Desigual available at House of Fraser Black ‘Jade’ ankle boots, £75, Miss KG available at Kurt Geiger Twisted cross-body bag, £18, available at Boohoo.com

Get Poppy Delevingne’s printed Topshop look

Cara Delevingne isn’t the only one in her family to love a bit of Topshop. Her newlywed older sis Poppy Delevingne can’t seem to get enough of the high street store either, as she was spotted out and about in London in a stunning summery midi skirt that will only set you back £38. Impressive stuff! Channel Poppy by teaming yours with a pair of zebra print heels and a casual white tee for that effortless “I’m just minding my own business but look how fabulous I am” look. Ps: wouldn’t a Poppy/Cara joint Topshop ad campaign be absolutely perfect? Poppy Delevingne is Worst Dressed of the Week in Louis Vuitton

With red carpet style getting ever more sophisticated – and not in a boring way – its becoming tougher to track down a look that makes us say “meh.” However, one particular look always slips the oh-so-pretty net, landing straight in our Worst Dressed pile. And, this week it seems one of the Delevingne sisters may have momentarily downgraded their style-setter status, with a rather odd gown. Poppy Delevingne took to the black red carpet at the 2014 amFAR Gala earlier this week, and we’re not sure we’re with her on this sartorial slip-up. Sporting a rather bewitching black gown from the Louis Vuitton spring 2014 collection, Poppy ensured all eyes were on her. Featuring a sheer body with intricate bead embellishment, Poppy completed the look with a super-high ponytail and an aptly dark lip. A rather bulky bucket bag finished her evening effort. There’s just something about this outfit that’s a little mismatched; it’s one of those looks that works better on the runway, complete with Marc Jacobs-esque grandeur. The hair harks back to the 90s, while the bag is too large for a formal evening affair. A more sophisticated hairdo and a tiny box clutch could salvage this look, but as it stands, it’s a let down from the Delevingne camp. Agree with our style verdict? What do you think of Poppy’s look? Poppy Delevingne’s final Vero Moda ad campaign (pics & vid!)

It’s the end of an era; Poppy Delevingne has shot her last ad campaign for Vero Moda, and we have the final pics and video right here for you to glance at. Cara Delevingne’s older sis replaced Alexa Chung as the face of Vero Moda a year ago, and has done a cracking job modelling the beautiful new-season pieces. “We are very proud of this final shoot with Poppy,” said Katja Hundrup, a spokesperson for the brand. “It has really been a great year; she has been a pleasure to work with, and that is clearly visible in every single image of this campaign I feel that the good vibes from every shoot and the strong idea behind mixing architectural lines with fashion and femininity come together beautifully in this campaign.” We totally get why the Vero Moda gang are pleased with Poppy’s efforts, as she looks incredible posing in some of the shiny new pieces. There’s definitely a fair few party-appropriate pieces for the festive season in there. We’re going to miss you Popps – any clues on who the next Vero Moda girl might be? Poppy Delevingne wows in Erdem and Coach during LFW

Her younger sis has been dominating the catwalks of London Fashion Week these past five days, but that doesn’t mean Poppy Delevingne is going to fade into the background any time soon, oh no. Cara Delevingne’s older sister is walking, talking, living proof that good looks and impeccable style seem to run in the family, with her latest look during London Fashion Week proving our point quite nicely. The gorgeous blonde managed to look feminine, elegant and quirky all in one go as she attended the Erdem spring/summer 2014 show wearing a stunning dress from the designer’s latest Resort collection, and accessorising with Cara approved oversized sparkly DSquared2 sunnies and a handy black Coach cross-body bag. Fun, practical, season-appropriate… what’s not to love?

Poppy Delevingne is Glam & Soul personified for Thomas Sabo AW13

It’s not surprising to find out Thomas Sabo has asked Poppy Delevingne back for another season of modelling – the pic above speaks volumes! Cara Delevingne’s older sis is posing for Thomas Sabo’s autumn/winter 2013 collection which is entitled Glam & Soul – an apt name, if ever there was one – and explained a little about the new range… “The theme throughout the AW13 collection is love,” Poppy said. “Simply irresistible golden feathers are symbols of a very hippie, romantic, almost ethereal love while beautifully designed Love knots reflect a never ending, truly romantic love story. “Funky, flexible teddy bears add the extra but charming sparkle and a largely collection of eye-catching dazzling rings – the eternal symbol of love – in any colour, shape and design. There is something here for everyone.” The Thomas Sabo Glam & Soul collection will be available to buy from jewellers and online from August , so keep your eyes peeled for it! [Sassi Sam]

Poppy Delevingne scoops Best Dressed of the week in DSquared2

Although we’re all for innovation on the red carpet, a classic black dress never hurt anyone. And when it looks this good, we’re not complaining! Our very own Brit beauty and one half of the famed super-sibling duo, Poppy Delevingne gave us the drop dead gorgeous treatment at the Calzedonia show in Italy, earlier this week. Dressed in a black, sheer floor-length DSquared2 gown, Poppy was a vision of seriously envy inducing leanness. Stacked bracelets accessorised her look, whilst glossy, mussed up locks and a scarlet lip completed the outfit. Although Poppy’s outfit is very simple, the fine panelled detail of the dress and gorgeously healthy, glowing skin make her standout on the red carpet, even with minimal accessories. If only we could profess to looking THAT good in a black dress!

Poppy Delevingne dazzles in Mary Katrantzou jumpsuit

Cara Delevingne’s gorgeous older sister Poppy showcased her style credentials when she arrived at the Vogue ‘Triple Threats’ dinner wearing a loud and proud Mary Katrantzou jumpsuit. She totally owned the look if you ask us, with her side-swept hair effortlessly sweeping her shoulders and her bold red lippie adding even more vibrant colour to the ensemble. Those Delevingne sisters really are on fire! We don’t think this jumpsuit is for everyone though – for starters the trouser lengths would need serious adjusting, as us slightly more vertically challenged fashionistas might struggle with them. We would however recommend for something this colourful and daring for anyone wanting to make a serious style statement. That’s exactly what Poppy Delevinge did, and look how well her fashion risk turned out! [Image]

First look at Poppy Delevingne for Vero Moda

In case you needed more proof that the Delevingne sisters are taking over the fashion world, feast your eyes on Poppy Delevingne modelling for Vero Moda. We know her younger sister Cara Delevingne is all over the catwalks, billboards and magazine pages right now, but 26-year-old Poppy doesn’t seem to be doing too bad either. We love her pictures, and think she is the perfect person to replace Alexa Chung (who also did a cracking job) as brand ambassador. “Poppy Delevingne adds lightness and femininity to the images, without ever losing her edge,” a spokesperson for Vera Moda said. “Graphic and minimalist locations were chosen for the shoot to create an eye-catching reflection of Poppy’s fresh look and the more stringent lines of the location.” There are some fab pieces in the spring/summer 2013 collection, especially some pinstripe Beetlejuice inspired trousers that we are all over. The perfect contrast to the feminine florals! [Catwalk Queen]

Poppy Delevingne keeps out the Scotland chill in Chanel

If only we were gorgeous famous models and could don not one but two pieces of Chanel at the next event we attended… The newly engaged Poppy Delevingne wrapped up warm for the ‘Chanel: Metiers d’Art Pre-Fall 2013’ fashion show in Scotland last night, wearing a full-length double-breasted  blue coat from the fashion House’s autumn/winter 2012 collection. It pretty much looks like it was made for her, giving her a beautiful shape and complementing the warm golden tones of her skin and hair perfectly. We love the addition of the brown furry hat too – something so attention-grabbing could pull focus from the main attraction (which in this case is the coat, natch) but not in Poppy’s case: everything worked together seamlessly and she looked the picture of perfection! Poppy’s boots added just the right amount of effortless androgyny to the look, and the quilted Chanel handbag just gave the ensemble that final finishing  “wow” touch. Flawless – we can all take tips from Poppy for our winter dressing.  [Image]

Poppy Delevingne gets engaged!

Ladies, prepare to get very weepy. (And boys – get the pen and paper out and make notes. Or run for the hills, either or!) It’s just been announced that Cara Delevingne‘s older and equally gorgeous sister Poppy is engaged – but just wait til you read about how her fiance James Cook popped the question… Poppy tweeted a picture of a bespoke Anya Hindmarch jewellery box with the words “will you marry me?” lovingly written inside. And obviously if her “Errr YES… #happiestdayofmylife” caption on Twitter was anything to go by, we think she accepted the proposal. Let’s hope the model snaps a pic of the all-important ring too as we can’t wait to see what her future hubby picked out. Congrats guys!  We’re taking bets on which designer she will wear down the aisle right now; any suggestions? [Telegraph]

Poppy Delevingne wows in pretty pastel pink Louis Vuitton

Having familiarised ourselves with it yesterday, we definitely think that Poppy Delevingne was the ultimate poster girl for everything Louis Vuitton wanted to accomplish with its Resort 2013 collection. The light yet chic summery elegance of the collection was translated onto the red carpet rather effortlessly by Poppy, who kept things pretty and feminine by cinching in her waist (as opposed to opting for a more flowing style as per the catwalk show) and opting for elegant toe-cap heels and subtle pink lips and nails. This look is also perfect for all those midi skirt skeptics who think the length is simply reserved for those who, shall we say, enjoy the earlybird special and get free public transport travel. As you can see, Poppy looks as youthful as ever, so get the “old lady” thought out of your heads, pronto! We know Poppy can get away with wearing next to nothing on the red carpet as she has the body for it, but we applaud her for taking the chic as opposed to skimpy route. [Image]

Rate or Slate Hilary Swank, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Poppy Delevingne’s style efforts?

For this week’s Rate or Slate, we’ve successfully managed to convey our affinity for flowers in all guises! Moving over to the red carpet, first up is Hilary Swank in an uber-feminine, very 50s Marc Jacobs resort 2013 number at the 3rd Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala in New York. Following her up is Mrs. Zeta-Jones in a racy fall 2012 Zuhair Murad one sleeve cocktail dress at the LA red carpet premiere for ‘Rock of Ages.’ And, finally our Rate or Slate radar lands on Brit beauty Poppy Delevingne, who attended the Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition launch in a pre fall 2012 Chanel dress (natch!). We’re also excited to introduce the newest member of our Style Jury, the witty and super-talented Amy Marks of Wolf Whistle. *rapturous applause* Follow our newest style dissector at @wolfwhistle and read about her fashionable expeditions at wolfwhistle.org. It’s over to our discerning Style Jury… Fashion News Ed Says: Hilary: ‘Not too fussed about Hilary in this outfit – quite forgettable and a bit too bland for my liking. An injection of colour would have been nice, or something that could be classed as a hair “style”. I don’t hate it; it’s just a bit “meh!”’ Catherine: ‘This dress shouldn’t work if you think about how old Catherine actually is, but I can’t take my eyes off her (for all the right reasons). I think she can rock this dress better than most people half her age; stupidly envious of her figure/ability to pull this off. Definitely my fave!’ Poppy: ‘Forget wearing your heart on your sleeve, it’s all about wearing your name on your body. Poppy has a model figure which is perfect for diversity, and means she can get away with virtually anything. This might be a bit mumsy for some people, […]

Cara Delevingne wears head-to-toe Mulberry for her Cara Delevingne Collection party in New York

Cara Delevingne must have racked up a lot of air miles this week. As well as attending the Toronto Film Festival, our favourite British supermodel has flown to the Big Apple to promote her brand spanking new collection of Mulberry bags. What a busy bee she is! For once we aren’t talking about her clothes on the New York Fashion Week catwalk, as this time it’s all about the outfit she wore at the Cara Delevingne collection party at the Mulberry store in New York’s Spring Street… The actress, supermodel, and social media queen was decked head to toe in Mulberry – of course! – and looked phenomenal in a cream Chelsea blouse, black leather skinny trousers, black Mira pumps, and one of her own creations: the mini Cara Delevingne black and white camouflage haircalf bag. Phew; quite a mouthful, but we got there in the end! Cara was joined at the party by her big sister Poppy Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger, and blogger/DJ Bip Ling, among others, although we have to say that Cara’s look was definitely our favourite. She kind of had to steal the spotlight at her own event… are we right?! [Image c/o Mulberry]

Thanks, Cara! 5 Alternative wedding looks inspired by Queen Delevingne

She may be a blue-blooded beauty hailing from the upper echelons of high society, but there’s no taming Cara Delevingne’s wild side – not even on sister Poppy’s wedding day! The British runway queen looked every inch the beautiful bridesmaid for her sister’s big day a few weeks back, donning a virginal white Chanel dress; but she still managed to break free from the clichéd bride brigade and put her own stamp on the look. And it’s Cara’s fashion rule-breaking spirit that has inspired our round-up of alternative wedding looks to sport at your next guest invite. Even though her outfit was a wispy affair, Cara’s scraped back hair, heavily kohled eyes and lack of accessories brought a grittier edge to this pretty look. Keep the base (dress) ultra-feminine, but go for specific detail – be it the makeup, hair or embellishment – that sets your look apart. Click below to shop our round-up of pretty-but-gritty wedding party dresses, and put your own stamp on them, Cara-style! 1. Adam Lippes crepe and pleated chiffon dress, £1,065, available at Net-a-Porter: Although pretty on the outset, this pleated dress begs to be styled with edge. Add black, statement ankle-strap heels or a blingin’ ear cuff to take it to the next level. 2. Lava tunic dress by TFNC, £32, available ar Topshop: We’re diggin’ the sleeve detail on this dress. How about a strong lip and matching lace veil, à la Beyoncé at the Met Gala? 3. Paul & Joe Frivole printed silk-blend gauze dress, £985, available at Net-a-Porter: The floral print is the winning factor with this dress – we’d add nothing else to enhance it. 4. Drop waist beaded mini dress, £399, available at Karen Millen: Statement makers will love this graphic number, to shake things up at the next ‘I do’ they witness. Just add […]

Our 10 Best Dressed at the Met Gala 2015

Anyone else disappointed with the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala? We’re not sure if we just had really high expectations but we can’t say we were floored by any of the outfits. Celebrating the start of the exhibition which runs from 7th May to 16th August, and showcases the work of 40 designers inspired by Chinese culture and art, the theme was China: Through the Looking Glass. In theory, with the prospect of East meeting West, this should have been a great opportunity for the celebs to go all out with the fun and drama. But, sadly no. The majority played it safe or nude. As we’ve seen in previous years, there’s a fine line between fashion forward and tacky, and this year while their bodies were to die for, Beyoncé and JLo pretty much pushed the sheer envelope way beyond the line. Kim K on the other hand managed to get it just right in Peter Dundas’ first creation for Roberto Cavalli while Rihanna was effortlessly on theme in a stunning handmade gown (which took 2 years to make) by Guo Pei. At this point, we’d like to draw your attention to someone who in our opinion is a major style icon in the making – Zendaya. The young starlet was absolutely flawless in Fausto Puglisi and we predict big things to come from the gorgeous actress and singer. On that note, here’s our 10 best dressed Xin Lei in Alexander McQueenRosie Huntington-Whiteley in VersaceRihanna in Guo Pei Poppy Delevingne in Marchesa Kim Kardashian in Roberto Cavalli Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein Kate Hudson in Michael Kors Karolina Kurkova in custom Tommy Hilfiger Jessica Hart in Valentino Zendaya in Fausto Puglisi

Beyonce steps out in Burberry petal shoes

Beyonce has had a bit of bad press this past month or so; what with elevator gate and rumours of a marriage split, it’s safe to say that she is in need of some good press right now. And she’s definitely going to get it thanks to her latest look, which comprised of a hot pink dress and the Burberry Prorsum petal shoes we have been coveting since we first set eyes on them on the spring/summer 2014 catwalk back in September last year. Poppy Delevingne and Angelababy are a few of the famous faces that have already been spotted out in the shoes, but we think Beyonce gives them a run for their money. Whether it’s the rest of the outfit or the American singing superstar effect or a little bit of both, there really is no contest when it comes to who wore it best. If you want to make like Beyonce, you can get your hands – or feet, rather – on the Burberry petal shoes right now. They come in pink as sported by Queen Bey, as well as a lovely shade of green if that’s more your colour. Matching clutch bags are also available if you don’t like doing things by halves. Do you love Beyonce’s Burberry look as much as we do? [Image c/o Burberry]

Roundup: Best Dressed at London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is, of course, all about the collections, after parties and street style frenzies that take place all over the city. Getting caught up in the “fashun” whirlwind is all well, but not without weighing in on what the movers and shakers wore, while sitting pretty front row. Yes, we’re mad for Preen, but what we really want to know is our way around Poppy Delevingne’s next FROW ensemble. And boy did she look good in a polka dot blouse and mannish coat at Burberry Prorsum. OK, so Erdem knows how to turn us into slaves to fashion (for all the right reasons, obvs), but it’s the front-row gracing elite we’re interested in. What’s that you’re wearing, Daisy Lowe? So, instead of giving you our weekly dose of Worst Dressed, we’re honouring the best week of fashion month (you know we speak the truth) by rounding up our Best Dressed at London Fashion Week. From a resplendent-looking Georgia May Jagger arriving at the Simongao show to Olivia “Perfect” Palermo looking just so in a standout Reiss peacoat at Anya Hindmarch, and Naomie Harris in possibly the most perfect trench coat there ever was; enjoy our line-up of London’s most-loved Fashion Week looks. Which looks wins for you? Let us know in the comments section below! [Images: Zimbio]

Olivia Palermo gets it right in Reiss peacoat for Anya Hindmarch show

Here she is – one of our fashion week front row faves (try saying that really fast – not possible!) Olivia Palermo looking nothing short of fabulous at her latest show. Olivia rocked up to the Anya Hindmarch autumn/winter 2014 show at the Tate Modern during London Fashion Week, wearing a Reiss Romoli peacoat, cropped red trousers, and bejeweled slippers. Yep, it looks like Olivia decided to give her feet a well-deserved break and ditch the heels in favour of something far more comfortable – jewel encrusted Arabian Nights inspired slipper shoes! And it doesn’t look like she was alone in her sartorial choice either as her FROW pal Poppy Delevingne donned cute Burberry flats for the show which you can see in the background. Oh, and we also feel we should mention the fact that Olivia did what any adoring fashion fan would do when graving a front row and wore one of the designer’s pieces – she carried the Anya Hindmarch Albion bag with style and sophistication, and ensured it complemented the rest of her outfit perfectly. She’s a front row regular for a reason! [Image]

WATCH: LFW AW14 highlights from Temperley London, Mary Katrantzou & more

MARY KATRANTZOU AW14 COLLECTION She may have been dubbed the digital print queen by way of her hypnotising design USP of seasons past, but Mary Katrantzou took a refreshing detour this season. Dizzying print work was replaced by symbols that held a deeper meaning; school badges, medals, clock faces, a coat of arms all made an appearance, intricately embroidered onto fuzzy sweatshirts, patchworked onto maxi skirts and running down pleated gowns to resemble a holy vestment. Suits cut in jacquard are set to become the fashion set’s new favourites, and one in particular – a bird-print skirt suit with pleated gym-skirt – demanded attention. Delicate slips dresses with hook straps featured a metal mesh adorned with gold-tone hearts, squares and pearls, tricking onlookers into believing they were admiring an art installation. Well, we were certainly in awe. TEMPERLEY LONDON AW14 COLLECTION Temperley London may hail from the leafy enclaves of Somerset, but, designer Alice Temperley didn’t stick to the quiet side for autumn/winter ’14. Bringing her signature decorative style to the table, Byzantine architecture-inspired prints were splashed across unbuttoned coats, tightly belted at the waist. Pretty skirt suits were updated with a boxier silhouette, while stained glass-imitating laser prints prettily played out across red carpet worthy dresses. New for this season, however, was the concept of layering luxe evening looks: an oversize fur stole in a fluffy peach hue was breathtaking over a shawl and barely there gown; while neck scarves, outerwear and shawls daubed in striking floral prints were the accessory du jour to seek protection from the winter chill. Just perfect. RICHARD NICOLL AW14 COLLECTION As blue emerges to be the hue of the hour for next season, Richard Nicoll didn’t hold back in feeding our appetite for the coldest shade-gone-hot. School girl attire-gone-haute was the message here, […]

Claridge’s unveils Dolce and Gabbana Christmas tree!

Wow, would you look at that! That’s the stunning Christmas tree decorated by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana that’s sitting pretty in the hall of Claridge’s that is… and we think the Italian designers have well and truly outdone themselves! Eva Herzigova, David Gandy, Poppy Delevingne, Pixie Lott, Joan Collins and many more famous faces were in attendance to watch the dynamic duo unveil their hard work, accompanied by a selection of Italian munchies and a very moving tenor performance which really set the mood. “The environment they created is so very special,” Eva Herzigova said about her pals.”The atmosphere here is absolutely rich with this infusion of Italian culture. I think with this, the boys have outdone even themselves, if that is possible.” Don’t worry Eva, we didn’t think it was possible either but we’re inclined to agree with you. Is the Dolce and Gabbana tree everything you thought it would be and more? [Style]  [Image]

London Fashion Week SS14 Day 1 highlights

Despite the grey skies, multiple clouds and sporadic bursts of suede-boot-ruining-rain, London Fashion Week definitely kicked off with a bang. The spring/summer 2014 shows were eventful, action-packed and inventive… and we can’t wait for some of the trends to hit the high streets in months to come! Here are some highlights from a few of our favourite shows: One of the great things about LFW is the support it gives upcoming talent by giving it a platform to showcase itself – and the Ones to Watch show is one of the best ways to introduce new designers to the world. This season was the turn of Hannah Williams, Helen Lawrence and Renli Su; three very different but equally beautiful collections. Helen Lawrence presented soft, pastel hued pieces, while Hannah Williams went dramatic, theatrical and larger-than-life. Renli Su went for unstructured, minimal, casual and unassuming. If you’re after a girly, sugary-sweet (almost too sweet) collection, then look no further than Yeashin! Candy colours, porcelain doll aesthetics and fairy tale inspired pieces floating down the catwalk Bernard Chandran was another favourite – the intricateness, the colour, the texture, the wow factor! There was a definite rich and royal theme running throughout the collection; luxury done right! Shimmer, attention to detail and wet-look hair was what we took away from the Felder Felder show, while it was dramatic biker chic over at Todd Lynn. And we weren’t the only ones who seemed to enjoy the Ping He show, as front row-ers Laura Whitmore and Poppy Delevingne appeared to be loving it too. Monochrome, tough and edgy pieces dominated the catwalk, with some intricate patterns and gravity-defying bee-hive hairstyles to boot. Todd Lynn DAKS

London Fashion Week SS13: Day 3

As Sunday is a day of rest, we decided to take a well deserved break from all the London Fashion Week madness of the past couple of days and recharge our biological and technological batteries. However, that’s not to say that we didn’t have time to stop by a few shows – fashion is of course an all-consuming part of our lives –  as we wouldn’t have missed the Temperley London or Paul Smith shows for the world. As we predicted, Temperley London and Paul Smith were spectacular, and both designers respectively presented strong, versatile, memorable and very wearable collections. We gave you a few sneak peeks on Twitter, but now it’s time to take a closer look at some of our highlights: Who: Temperley London What: The show invite promised a “return to elegance” and boy was it right! The spring/summer 2013 collection was worlds away from Alice Temperley’s dark and heavy autumn/winter 2012 offering, as we were treated to lots of dresses and separates in fun, summery shades of pale blue, white a light grey. We thought it was a stunning collection; we were in awe from start to finish! And from where we were sitting, we think Poppy Delevingne, Anna Friel and Pixie Lott thought so too. Highlight: The view on the VIP balcony was incredible, and we loved spying all the action on and off the catwalk. Celeb-spotting made easy! As far as the pieces were concerned, there were more than a few lace numbers that had us foaming at the mouth, and the hats were a delightful little touch! Personal fave dress has to be the white creation with the sequin sleeves… divine! To summarise:  Fun, light, glam and sparkly with a hint of vintage thrown in for good measure. Best collection yet? Who: Paul […]

First look: Burberry Prorsum’s SS11 campaign

It’s a well known fact that luxury British label Burberry Prorsum is no stranger to haute heritage clothing – after all, nothing screams London style like a good tailored trench – so it comes as no surprise that it’s chosen the great British landscape to play backdrop in its latest campaign for SS11. But with Emma Watson and Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley nowhere to be seen, Burberry’s swapped its fashion-forward ambassadors in favour of up-coming British models Cara Delevingne (Poppy’s younger sister, who’s biggest feat so far has been ASOS, FYI) and Jacob Young to kick start its summer satorials. Shot by world renowned photographer Mario Testino, the images see the two models looking nonchalant on a rather dismal looking Brighton beach – we suspect those pebbles weren’t the most pleasurable of props – and aim to give you the total Burberry experience by showcasing everything from its Prorsum, London, Brit and accessories collections together. Phew. But it doesn’t end there – the evolving summer campaign is the first of its kind for Burberry, with new faces rolling out each month from now until May, giving surely one of the most coveted platforms for young models-in-the-making. “We wanted to create a dynamic, evolving campaign that reflects the diversity of our broad global consumer, revealing new British cast members each month, all with their own identity, embodying the different attitudes of the Burberry guy and girl,” says Christopher Bailey. “We shot the campaign on Brighton beach to celebrate the great British outdoors and our history of supporting emerging talent and to bring to life the emotion behind protection from the elements.’’ An interesting concept indeed.
