Aww…Taylor Swift Crashes A Fans’ Wedding With Surprise Performance

Picture it. You’ve said your vows – promised to spend eternity with the love of your life and as you get ready to let loose at the reception, Taylor Swift makes an entrance to YOUR wedding. Yep, that was actually the reality of married couple Max Singer and Kenya Smith over the weekend. Despite her recent break up with Calvin Harris, Taylor rocked up to a fan’s wedding and performed the groom’s favourite song “Blank Space” at the reception in New Jersey. Knowing her brother was a super fan, the groom’s sister Ali made contact with Taylor in April to request the performance, explaining how important it would be to her brother, as he had actually married Kenya in hospital, in order for his mother (who has since died) to witness the nuptials. Ali also highlighted the significance of “Blank Space” – the song mother and son danced to, to celebrate the union and aturally there was no way Taylor could turn down the invitation after hearing the touching story. Not only did she give a performance to remember but also gave the couple a  card with the words “So it’s gonna be forever” written inside. Of course, guests couldn’t contain their excitement, posting pictures and parts of the performance on Twitter and Instagram including the singer herself who posted a pic on Instagram with the caption, “Congratulations Max and Kenya!!” What a memory..and a great way to start married life right? Who is Taylor Swift’s new song Out of the Woods actually about?

Taylor Swift is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve and really dishing the dirt on her past lovers – and her latest song Out of the Woods is no exception. It may be a bit different to the country-music-inspired, upbeat songs that she is known for writing thanks to the dark and haunting pace and tune – but the honesty is still there. In fact we think it might be one of her most candid songs ever… “This song is about the fragility and a kind of breakable nature of some relationships,” she began. “This was a relationship where it was kind of living day to day wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day. It was a relationship where you kinda never feel like you’re standing on solid ground, and that kind of a feeling brings on excitement but also extreme anxiety and kind of a frantic feeling of wondering. “This song sounds exactly like that frantic feeling of anxiety and questioning but it stresses that even if a relationship is breakable and fragile, and full of anxiety, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t exciting, beautiful and all of the things that we look for.” Woah. Rumours are rife that the song is all about her relationship with One Direction ladies’ man Harry Styles, although we guess only Taylor Swift herself can be 100% certain. We urge you to take a listen to the song when the full version is released later today, and really take the lyrics on board while making your decision… [Grazia]

She does it again – Taylor Swift looks incredible on streets of Beverly Hills!

Once again, through no fault of our own, we find ourselves lusting after another Taylor Swift outfit. How she manages to pull off sartorially perfect head to toe looks when she’s just going about her daily business is a little beyond us. The songstress wowed us with her street style look when she was out and about in Beverly Hills in California, wearing an effortless see-through lace dress (with a black vest underneath to cover her modesty, obviously), black ankle boots and matching black hat, and the bag that’s permanently on our lust list, the Dolce and Gabbana Sofia tote. We bow down to Taylor, 2014’s undisputed queen of street style! (We know we have a few months to go, but we’re pretty confident that our opinion isn’t going to change!)

Get Taylor Swift’s striped bodycon look

Taylor Swift has given us yet another flawless street style look, and once again, we are able to recreate it without totally breaking the bank. Happy days! The country music star – and style maven, may we add – rocked a gorgeous striped bodycon dress from none other than high street saviour Topshop, and luckily for us it’s still in stock in most sizes. To go all-out like Taylor, just add your boldest shade of red lippie and a pink tote bag (it doesn’t have to be the same Prada one she is rocking, although we definitely encourage it!) and you’re good to go. The only thing missing for a full-on Taylor Swift transformation is a guitar and a list of A-list ex-boyfriends… Stripe bodycon tunic, £30, available at Topshop Saffiano lux small tote, £1485.35, Prada available at Saks Pillarbox red lip paint, £5, Barry M available at Isme

Taylor Swift parades her pins in monochrome ensemble on The Tonight Show

Taylor Swift has always brought out the sartorial big guns over the years, but we think that she’s outdone herself these past few months. The country music singer attended The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a bit of a chit chat with the host, and looked absolutely gorgeous in the process. While Tay Tay went for old Hollywood glamour with her Monique Lhuillier Resort 2015 dress she wore to The Giver premiere on Monday night, she decided to mix things up by going for a youthful but sexy on this occasion. You only need to look at the short hem and her perfect pins poking out to get the sexy vibe. A versatile dresser is our favourite kind of dresser! Taylor’s dress came courtesy of Bec & Bridge (and is still available at Saks for just under £15o if you hurry!) and her shoes were none other than Prada. We love how she swapped her trademark red lippie for something a little more understated too. We genuinely can’t fault a single part of this look and can’t wait to see what she wears next!

Zooey Deschanel vs. Taylor Swift…Who wore Tommy Hilfiger better?

A frock-off between two ladies who know their way around a good dress is no small task, and this week, looking equally fantastic in the same dress, are Zooey Deschanel and Taylor Swift. Wearing a polka dot-print dress from Zooey’s 16-piece capsule collection for Tommy Hilfiger, both Taylor and the lady designer herself put their personal spin on the dress – ultimately making our task of choosing the best look even tougher! Back in April, Zooey attended the ‘To Tommy, From Zooey’ launch at Macy’s in New York and, naturally, she was modelling her collection. The New Girl star completed her look with sheer tights, pointed pumps and her signature bangs. A slick of white polish on the nails and liner-rimmed eyes rounded off the look. Second in line to sport the dress was Taylor Swift, who was spotted leaving the gym in New York looking her usual, prim-and-proper self. Pairing the dress with a bow-detail belt, lady-like bag and Mary Janes, Taylor continued the accessory party with Ray Ban wayfarers and a headband. A slick of coral on the lips added an uplifting dash of colour. So, who wins? Although we’d love to say the designer stole the show, ‘twas sadly not the case this time. We’re totally diggin’ Taylor’s effort to up the prettifying ante with a whole load of accessories; Zooey’s look just seems too ‘tried-and-tested!’ Sorry, Jess Z! Agree with our style verdict? Taylor Swift does her best Kate Middleton impression in Reem Acra and Jenny Packham

What does one wear to meet the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William? How about something by one of his wife’s favourite designers? Yep Taylor Swift made sure she flew the flag for British fashion as she met Prince William during last night’s £500-a-head Winter Whites dinner in support of Centrepoint, a charity for young homeless people. The singer stepped out in a stunning white Snow Queen reminiscent Reem Acra dress and accessorised with a clutch bag by Kate Middleton’s go-to designer, Jenny Packham. Ms Swift clearly did  her sartorial homework, which is more than can be said for Jessie J who flashed a little too much flesh while meeting Prince Charles at the Royal Variety Performance. Taylor Swift’s Princess-inspired up-do was the perfect accompaniment to her elegant and regal attire. Oh, and during the dinner, something amazing happened… Taylor Swift, Prince William, and the one and only Mr Jon Bon Jovi huddled around a microphone to sing Living on a Prayer. Pinch us, we think we’re dreaming!

Taylor Swift performing at Victoria’s Secret Show, One Direction not

Despite the rumours that were doing the rounds a while ago, the One Direction boys will not be serenading the Victoria’s Secret Angels as they strut their stuff down the catwalk for the annual Victoria’s Secret Show later this month. Sorry to disappoint you Harry Styles (and Harry Styles fans – i.e, everyone.) We think their absence might have something to do with who is actually performing… and that is the curly haired heartbreaker’s ex Miss Taylor Swift! Although the 23-year-old singer will be the main singing event, she will also be joined on the stage by Fall Out Boy, A Great Big World and Neon Jungle which is also pretty exciting! While we doubt she will be as scantily clad as Rihanna was when she performed last year, we have a feeling Taylor will be a good sport and get into the Victoria’s Secret spirit while singing her heart out. We can’t wait to see her and the rest of the guys perform! Do you like the musical talent VS chose this year? [E! Online]

Taylor Swift steals the Country Music Awards show in Elie Saab Couture

When we think of modern day country music, we think of Taylor Swift. And when we think of Taylor Swift, we can’t help but think of enviable, effortless, wow-worthy red carpet style. The 23-year-old country star didn’t disappoint us as she attended the Country Music Awards wearing one of the most breathtaking outfits of the night – a red, floor-length Elie Saab Couture dress from the autumn/winter 2013 collection. The Country Music Awards are definitely her chance to shine, and she made the most of that opportunity! The dress complemented her figure and skin colour perfectly, and was still age-appropriate despite its dramatic nature. Taylor looked like country music Royalty on the red carpet, completing her look with an effortlessly chic low bun, a flawless complexion and matching bold red lipstick. She kept all other accessories to a minimum, leaving the embellishment on her dress and her personality to do all the sparkling on the red carpet. This is one of our favorite Taylor Swift looks of the year – do you agree?

Rita Ora and Taylor Swift wow on BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards red carpet

Although they are both successful singers, Rita Ora and Taylor Swift are quite different. They have a different audience, different sounds and different looks… but they were united in stealing the sartorial show at last night’s BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards. Taylor Swift, one of the presenters, looked sweet yet sophisticated in a gorgeous turquoise dress from the Jenny Packham autumn/winter 2013 collection. She proved that Jenny Packham can do short and sweet styles just as well as she does long, sweeping and smoldering styles that Kate Middleton and Dita von Teese favour. The dress fitted her like a glove, and her subtle waves and light pink lipstick complemented it wonderfully. Rita Ora chose to make more of an in-your-face statement on the red carpet by stepping out in a white feathered dress from the brand new Marchesa spring/summer 2014 collection. The dress certainly stood out a mile, but Rita kept the rest of her look – hair, make-up and accessories – simple, so the dress could do all the talking. Two of our best dressed ladies on the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards red carpet, for sure! [Images]

Taylor Swift is the green girl next door on InStyle US November cover

Taylor Swift has already landed the cover of Glamour UK’s November issue, but she isn’t ending there with her magazine cover take-over, oh no. Taylor Swift can also be found posing pretty on InStyle US‘s November 2013 issue, looking every inch the girl next door in a cute green knit and bold red lippie. The cover boasts a candid interview, and that’s exactly what we get inside as Taylor opens up about a number of hot topics, including what the deal is between her and Ed Sheeran… “Ed and I are such good friends,” she said. “I have never had such a close guy friend before. It’s always kind of creepy because with a guy friend-girl friend situation, it usually feels like one person always wants more. That’s not the case here.” Aw – but even if it was the case we think our Ed and Taylor would make a deliciously cute couple, don’t you? Think of all the lovey dovey songs they could write and sing about each other? We imagine their family would give the Von Trapp family singers a run for their money. Ok, we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Make sure you pick up InStyle US’s November issue to read more of Taylor Swift’s interview and see more fab pics.

Taylor Swift vs. Heidi Klum…Who wore Kaufmanfranco better?

One dress, two women and a hoo-haa about who sauntered around in it more tastefully; welcome to our latest fash-off instalment, featuring a ‘bitter’ ex-girlfriend and a leggy model. OK, for fear of being too cryptic, we’ll reveal the deets: we spotted Taylor Swift and Heidi Klum in the same Kaufmanfranco spring 2013 dress, and we couldn’t help but level up the two beauties when it came to fashion cred. Kicking off 2013 at the 40 Principales Music Awards in Madrid, Taylor Swift took to the blue red carpet in said dress. Pairing it with Christian Louboutin Dufoura heels, a cocktail ring and her statement bangs, Swifty looked gorgeous in the thigh grazing number, sexed up with a deep illusion neckline. But going in for the kill was stunner Heidi Klum, who made a printed red carpet appearance for America’s Got Talent in the same dress. Opting for a swept back updo with face-framing tendrils; hoop earrings and Louboutin ankle-tie sandals finished off the look nicely. But whose look is a winner, we hear you say? Sizing up the style potential, we’re going with the never ending pins on this one – Heidi takes the crown! Although Taylor looks polished as ever, Heidi’s look is a little more ‘red carpet relaxed’ (yeah, that does exist), and those heels, winning. Agree with our dress-off verdict? [Images: Zimbio]

“I don’t wanna end up being awful and intolerable” – Taylor Swift, InStyle UK April

As her songs so blunt, open and honest, we always look forward to Taylor Swift interviews because we know that’s exactly what we’re gonna get. The 23-year-old country singer has been chosen as InStyle UK’s April cover star, and can be seen posing in some soft and almost angelic pics in an array of top designer gear from the likes of Giles and Gucci to name but a few. Taylor opens up to the mag about a number of different subjects, including friends, censoring herself, writing songs, and her fears, among other things.. “My fears circle around me making the wrong choices and messing this up for myself,” she said. “I don’t wanna end up being awful and intolerable. Alone. Laying in a marble bathtub by myself, like sad, with a glass of wine just complaining that my life ended up alone because I pushed everyone away because I thought I was too good to hang out with anybody. “The typical Hollywood sad cliché of the poor lonely starlet with no one because she put up all these walls and didn’t trust anyone. That’s my fear. And that’s why I live my life the way I live my life because I’d so much rather feel everything than end up like that.” Yikes! You can read the rest of Taylor’s interview and see more stunning Karen Collins lensed pics in InStyle UK’s April issue – out tomorrow. Taylor Swift’s looking lovely in Louis Vuitton for Elle US March

Country music star Taylor Swift has well and truly burst onto the cover of Elle US’s March issue in one of the brightest and most memorable pieces from the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2013 collection. What do you think? Even though we’ve seen similar looks on the red carpet and magazine editorial pages quite a bit these past few months, Taylor’s still managed to leave a lasting impression on us. She can pretty much do no wrong in our eyes – just check out all her awards-season dresses for proof! We’re not totally convinced ex-boyfriend Harry Styles will see it that way though… As well as appearing in some stunning editorial pics, Taylor talks openly to the mag about a number of subjects, including writing songs about her favourite subject: her exes! “To me it’s just writing songs the way I always have,” she said. “It’s me sitting on my bed feeling pain I didn’t understand, writing a song, and understanding it better. If people want to dissect the lyrics, that’s their right, but it’s all coming from the exact same place as where I started. It’s just something I do to feel better.” We can’t wait til this issue makes its way across the pond and lands on our magazine shelves. Are you impressed with Tay’s cover or are you a little underwhelmed?

Taylor Swift signs Diet Coke sponsorship deal

We loved what Jean Paul Gaultier has done with Diet Coke since becoming temporary creative director of the drink, but it looks like he’s handed over the reigns to the young Taylor Swift. The country singing sensation isn’t designing bottles a’ la JPG though, and will instead be fronting the ad campaigns for the drink for the foreseeable future. Do you think she is a good sponsor? “I wanted to share some news with you, because we’re finally making it official with one of the great loves of my life…Diet Coke,” she wrote on her Twitter page. “I’ve said for years that Diet Coke just ‘gets me’ and my lifestyle,” she added in a statement. I’m so excited about our new partnership.” Good luck to Taylor – the fizzy drink sponsorship biz is quite a lucrative one to fingers crossed she doesn’t do a Britney and mess it up. Let’s not forget that she has competition from the one and only Beyonce who has signed a deal with rival brand Pepsi. May the best singer/drink win… [Daily Mail]

Selena Gomez talks Taylor Swift and fairytales in Nylon February

Whether it’s her on/off relationship with Justin Bieber, her friendship with Taylor Swift, her acting career, or her presence in the fashion world (no prizes for guessing which one we’re most excited about), there’s no denying that Selena Gomez is hot property. And with her new movie Spring Breakers coming out soon, it doesn’t surprise us to find her gracing the front cover of a magazine… in fact, Selena has two separate covers for Nylon’s February issue. You can see the other one at the bottom – which one do you prefer? As well as making loads of girls jealous with her beauty, Selena also chats to the mag about the paps, her everyday life, and how she’s “lucky” to have Taylor Swift in her life. “We both experienced the same things at the same time,” she said about Taylor Swift. “But we’ve never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I’d go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It’s so hard to trust girls, so I’m lucky to have her.” And what did Selena have to say about her everyday life? “I’m having fun,” she told the mag. “At the end of the day, love is such a normal thing, and everyone deals with it. Just because it’s a different lifestyle doesn’t change the meaning of what I’ve been raised on, which is fairytales.” Aw, nice to know she’s still a Disney girl at heart and believes in the fairytale magic. Head to the Nylon website to see more sneaky peeks from Selena’s interview and photoshoot. [Celebrity Gossip]

Taylor Swift scoops Best Dressed of the Week in Elie Saab

The slightest mention of Elie Saab is enough to get our red carpet gown radar buzzing! Girl of the moment, Taylor Swift, looked stunning in an Elie Saab Spring 2013 gown at the 2012 Aria Awards in Sydney. Taylor channelled Grecian goddess vibes, looking ethereal in a sleeveless chiffon gown, and appeared every inch the red carpet queen! Completing Taylor’s look was a chic, twisted up do; her trademark glossy golden bangs and strong eyes that really set off her beautiful eye colour. Even though the shade of the dress is subtle, and it’s quite a dreamy creation, we’re glad Taylor didn’t go accessory-crazy, instead opting only for statement crystal studs. A classic red carpet look, (or in this case, black carpet!), we can’t fault Taylor’s flawless style and love her in Elie Saab as much as we do in her music videos!

Taylor Swift: “If I feel too much like I’m wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up” – Harper’s Bazaar US, December

Look everyone – our favourite young country singer Taylor Swift has only gone and scored another fashion glossy cover – this time appearing on the front of the Harper’s Bazaar US December/January issue! And while we’re a bit underwhelmed with the cover image (no offence to Taylor, it’s just the over-airbrushing we’re not too keen on) the rest of the editorial pictures which were shot by Paola Kudacki more than make up for it… check out her elongated body and those supermodel poses! We do enjoy it when Taylor dishes the dirt on her boyfriends, (hell hath no fury like Taylor Swift scorned) and she once again didn’t disappoint with her views on relationships and more specifically, “wearing the pants” in them. “If I feel too much like I’m wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up,” she said. “It’s wonderful to hand over the reins to your boyfriend when you control so much of these big, high-pressure decisions, you know? That is a huge defining factor in who you choose to be with.” The world according to Taylor Swift! The December/January issue of Harper’s Bazaar US hits newsstands on November 27th; will you be getting a copy?

All eyes on Taylor Swift in Jenny Packham at the Country Music Awards

The 46th Country Music Awards took place in Nashville Tennessee last night,  and although a host of talented musicians were honoured at the event, our highlight of the evening was definitely Taylor Swift arriving on the red carpet. We know it probably wasn’t, but it really looks like the stunning Jenny Packham gown was made just for her. The nude and red dress fits the country star like a glove, and accentuates, hugs and flatters every single curve on her body. Looks like Angelina Jolie and Kate Middleton are no longer going to be the only ladies we associate with Jenny Packham from now on! Taylor expertly matched her lip colour to the red detailing on the dress, and kept the rest of her hair and make-up natural. We love how there isn’t a single accessory in sight either – who needs anything else with a dress that gorgeous and an equally beautiful woman wearing it?!

Taylor Swift: “It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it,” – Marie Claire UK, November

We got a lovely surprise when we learnt that Taylor Swift would be gracing the November cover of Marie Claire UK. We know that the 22-year-old singer likes to go for the soft, innocent look when it comes to red carpet events (a trend which she nails every time, may we add) but we’re glad to see her rock something edgier for the cover shoot. Especially since some of her recent songs have had a bit of a bite to them! As well as rocking a nice mix of edgy and bohemian looks for the editorial, Taylor opens up about her relationships, including writing songs about her boyfriends of the past. “Music is absolutely everything that I am and everything that I stand for,” she said. “It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it. And despite her penchant for writing about her naughty exes, Taylor was keen to stress that she is in fact a true romantic. “Even after it explodes into a million pieces and burns down and you’re standing in a pile of the ash of what it once was thinking, ‘Why did I have to meet this person, why did this have to happen?’,” she continued. “But then, when you make eye contact with someone across the room and it clicks and, bam, you’re there. In love again.” Bless her cottons! You can read the rest of her interview in the November issue of Marie Claire UK.

Taylor Swift looks like a fairytale princess for her new perfume ad

It’s a classic look, and that’s been my recent style obsession. Anything classic and timeless.” “Wonderstruck is about that moment when you instantly feel a connection to someone, but then there’s that feeling of being completely enamoured – enchanted – when you know a little more about that someone and still feel that strong connection.” And we bet more than a few people will be enamoured with her latest ad campaign. We hope the scent smells just as magical as the ad makes out. We’ll keep you posted as to when it officially goes on sale! [Sassi Sam]

Best Dressed of the Week: Taylor Swift in J.Mendel at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards

Oh, how we love a glorious white number on the red carpet! Taylor Swift looked a heavenly sight in a J.Mendel Fall 2012 cut-out waist dress at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, last Sunday. A white dress is a huge red carpet style detour for Taylor, who usually opts for pretty, embellished ballerina-style dresses. This glamorous white number is just the kind of grown-up-glamour needed to takeTaylor’s style up a gear, and we can’t stop looking at her hair! Glossy, wavy locks and a blunt fringe add a sleek edge to Taylor’s look, while her kohl-rimmed eyes are the perfect substitute for the red lip we’re so used to seeing her sport. Accessorising with stunning Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Christian Louboutin ‘Summerissima’ criss-cross platform heels (not seen) and a killer hand-on-hip pose, this look is our definite favourite of the week!

Who wore it best? Blake Lively vs Taylor Swift in turquoise Tibi

They’re both blonde, they’re both A-Listers and they have the same taste in colour popping dresses. But the question is, who wore this tantalising turquoise Tibi mini-dress best? First up is Blake Lively, who donned the dress for an outing in New York. Her endless legs showcase the short hemline and pleated skirt perfectly. In true Blake style, her waves are relaxed yet groomed, and her make-up looks flawless, with a hint of pink lips. What do we love most about this outfit – the contrasting Charlotte Olympia leopard print heels, they show that Blake can dare to have fun with fashion! Brownie points go to Taylor for cinching the dress in at the waist with a skinny gold belt and for her curly up-do that allows the dress to shine. But we don’t love her uninspiring bow detailed cream pumps. We much prefer Blake’s walk on the wild side in her loud leopard heels. So sorry Taylor, whilst we admire you for trying it seems like Blake Lively can do no wrong in the style stakes! Who do you prefer in this turquoise Tibi dress?

Taylor Swift in Gilles Mendel

Picking up the award for Favourite Country Music Artist at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday night was – unsurprisingly – the queen of country Taylor Swift, who looked gorgeous in a dreamy peach and nude Gilles Mendes frock. The asymmetrical one shoulder design left little to the imagination – heck, against her alabaster skin she almost looked naked – but finished with an attractive on-trend pleated skirt and satin waist, the young musician certainly knows how to rock pale appeal. Teaming her look with nude strappy sandals and a head of soft golden curls – yes, yet more neutral tones – Taylor made a splash with a slick of vibrant mandarin lipstick for simple spring-ready style. This newly singleton certainly knows how to set the male hearts a flutter – is a certain Jake Gyllenhaal kicking himself?

Top 50 Fashion Designers In The World

Ever wondered who the top 50 fashion designers in the world are? Well, wonder no more. We’ve put together a list most famous fashion designers from around the globe. From past icons to current trailblazers who are setting the trends right now, here’s a comprehensive deep dive into the best fashion designers without whom the fashion industry just wouldn’t be the same. 1. Coco Chanel If there’s one iconic fashion designer who’s influenced the industry more than any other, it’s definitely Coco Chanel. She brought something new to the table, freeing women from the restrictions of frills and corsets, instead offering up simple, comfortable styles. And today, more than 50 years after her passing, her influence is still felt. Coco Chanel’s early life wasn’t an easy one, marked by tragedy and hardship. Her mother passed away when she was young, and she and her siblings had to be raised at an orphanage. Despite everything, Chanel was determined to make a name for herself in the world. Her designs stood out from the crowd, effortless and refined. She transformed fabrics that were traditionally associated with men’s clothing, like tweed and jersey, into chic, comfy pieces for women. The late designer will always be remembered for her creation of the little black dress, which is still a wardrobe staple for many. Chanel also branched out into the fragrance industry, launching her famous Chanel No. 5 perfume in 1921. She was a trendsetter in more ways than one, using groundbreaking marketing techniques to promote her work. And even now, you can spot her signature CC logo anywhere. 2. Unsure how to level up your style while sticking to a strict budget? The tips below can help! First Things First: Check Out Key Celeb Trends The first step to nailing your favorite celeb’s style is… to know your favorite celeb’s style! Whether it’s Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, or Florence Pugh, looking up your favorite celebrity’s history or bio can help you understand their lifestyle and taste. Additionally, you might use several sources – including official Instagram profiles and specialized online magazines like SoJones – to gain insights into how your favorite celebrity loves to dress.  Choose High-Quality Materials  So, you might be looking to start dressing like your favorite celebrity, but your budget doesn’t stretch to expensive designer clothes and luxury brands. How can you overcome this hurdle? Luckily, there’s a simple rule that can help you elevate any outfit: always choose high-quality materials! While high-street retailers do a great job at imitating haute couture clothes, they are often manufactured in lower-quality materials to increase affordability.  Instead of falling for this gimmick, choose high-quality items from small boutiques. You might not be able to copy your favorite celebrity’s outfits – but you can certainly add elegance to your current style! Invest in Tailored Clothing Items Another great option to imitate a VIP’s closet is to invest in tailor-made clothes. While you don’t need many of those in your closet, bespoke items can help you […]

Where Do Fashion Wholesalers Get Their Inspiration From?

Fashion wholesalers must concentrate their attention on a range of different outlets in order to gain inspiration and to keep on top of the trends to give the customers what they want. Fashion is a very fast business and trends and styles can change rapidly, depending on both the seasons and customer demands. Fashion powerhouse Zara, for example, only produces half of its seasonal stock and leaves room to respond to the market. Not all trends will necessarily catch on in retail and wholesale industries and often the client will want more of something or less of something else. Other trends can be incredibly popular and stick around for more than one season. This is something that wholesale fashion suppliers must think about when getting ahead in the fashion industry. Fashion can be a tricky business and requires a strong attention to detail, especially when producing women’s wholesale fashion. There can be strong influences from a variety of different places that can inspire and push wholesalers in a certain direction, and here are just a few. Fashion Shows Possibly the most obvious point of call for anyone working in fashion when it comes to inspiration is the catwalk. Designers across the world showcase their designs and upcoming trends with hundreds of models in fashion shows from Paris to New York, for both summer and winter collections. This could be one of the biggest influences for fashion wholesalers and definitely worth taking note. Fashion Weeks occur in New York, London, Milan and Paris twice a year, showcasing Autumn/Winter trends and designs around February, and Spring/Summer around September ready for the seasons ahead. This would surely be the Mecca for fashion enthusiasts as high-end designers define the latest developments in fashion months before they are due to hit the shelves. On top […]

Keep Your Favourite Frames Longer with Glasses Re-glazing

Glasses can be one of the most personal items you’ll wear, whether it’s because they’re comfortable or because their style says something about you. That makes it especially frustrating when you need new glasses because your prescription has changed or the lenses are scratched, and you face having to find new frames that belong in the same way. In fact, you don’t need to go through that. Some firms, like New Lenses, specialise in glasses re-glazing, meaning that your favourite old glasses can become your favourite new glasses. Have Your Special Frames Re-glazed Designer frames don’t come cheap, especially if you’ve haven’t searched for online bargains, or alternatively your favourite frames may be hard to find. As Harper’s Bazaar points out, the fashion is growing for vintage frames, with Katy Perry, Chloe Sevigny and Taylor Swift among the trend’s champions, and many of these are irreplaceable. If the lenses are scratched or no longer appropriate for your eyesight, an optician can take the old ones out and replace them with new lenses, made according to your new prescription. To all appearances, you still have the same glasses. High Street or Online? Health News tells us that, while re-glazing is always going to be cheaper than replacing your glasses, having it done online is cheaper still. The Telegraph puts figures to it — “An optician will do this in-house for around £80, or a specialist online retailer…will do it for as little as £19.” The figures are compelling, but it seems counter-intuitive to have glasses created online. Don’t you have to be there, so the optician can measure and fit the glasses? It’s always been done that way in the past because it suits the traditional model of the High Street optician, and of course the eye test itself will still have […]

Our 10 best dressed at the 2015 Grammy Awards

This year’s Grammys were eventful to say the least but not even Kanye could steal the spotlight from the ladies that ruled the red carpet. The biggest trend without a shadow of a doubt was a heavy dose of bling, glam and figure hugging dresses, but thankfully there were those who broke the rules and thought outside of the box. Naturally Rihanna rebelled and we’re so glad she did! Love or hate her outfit at least she gave us something different! Here’s our 10 best dressed celebs… Wearing one of our fave couture looks this season courtesy of Giambattista Valli, Rihanna was a delight in this show-stopping, pink strapless gown. Cue all the “cupcake” jokes….. Always one of our red carpet favourites, Chrissy Teigen failed to disappoint in this perfect white floor-length gown by Emilio Pucci. Gwyneth Paltrow showed off her gorgeous long legs in this Saint Laurent sparkly number paired with beautiful stilettos.   Custom made by Proenza Schouler, Beyoncé opted for a plunging v-neck gown to accentuate her bootylicious curves. Katharine McPhee’s first Grammy red carpet saw the singer looking lovely and demure in an Emilio Pucci coral cut-out evening gown with silver hardware. Deciding not to opt for a traditional dress, Gwen Stefani as usual was on trend in this edgy Atelier Versace strapless jumpsuit with netting detail. Yes, yes and yes! Elie Saab is to thank for this ADORABLE combination of evening gown meets party dress complimented perfectly with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and modelled to perfection on Taylor Swift.   Rocking none other than Tom Ford, Nicki Minaj was nothing short of stunning. Classic, understated and absolutely gorge. We’ve been loving Versace’s red carpet gowns of late and this beauty on Ariana Grande is no exception. With chainmail detail and cut-outs in all the right place, Ariana gets a thumbs up […]

How to get flawless legs for the party season

It’s hard not to envy the celebrities you see walking the red carpet with perfect pins. After all, nothing makes a short dress or a thigh-split design look better than a pair of flawless legs. Beyoncé shows off her toned thighs in sparkly leotards at her shows, while Taylor Swift’s legs just seem to go on and on. On this side of the Pond, a recent survey of British women named model Abbey Clancy as having the best legs in showbiz. The survey by Veet, however, also found women were reluctant to show off their own legs. But, it is possible to transform your legs into two of your best assets. EXERCISE AND DIET Country music singer Carrie Underwood’s personal trainer Tony Greco suggests a combination of lunges, squats, step-ups and toe-taps, combined with a healthy diet of proteins, carbs and fats. He also says having a handful of almonds, walnuts or macadamia nuts with every meal is a good idea because they can help you feel fuller for longer. Jessica Simpson’s legs had to look perfect in her Daisy Dukes in the movie Dukes of Hazard. Her personal trainer Harley Pasternak says she achieved those results with a lot of hard work. His tip is to do at least 30 minutes of cardio work five times a week, choosing exercises that are not only good for a healthy heart, but which work out your legs intensively at the same time, such as cycling, running, skating or climbing the stairs. Then, it’s time to tone up even further by doing some work with a stability ball. Lie down with your calves on top of the ball, rolling the ball towards your body with your heels while lifting your hips, then back again. CELLULITE While many women are conscious about cellulite, […]

It’s not very often you can get Beyoncé’s look for just £68. Today you can.

Yesterday saw the grand opening of Topshop’s NYC flagship store and as we now know that Beyoncé will be collaborating with the shopping giant, it was of course, no surprise that Queen Bey was in attendance. And while she may be the highest paid woman in the music industry, earning a cool $115 million this year (Taylor Swift came in second with $64 million) our Bey still knows a bargain when she sees one. Showing off her curves, Beyoncé wore this £68 sequined bodycon beauty by Topshop. Yep, we too were in shock when we saw the price tag. Not bad at all! As the dress won’t break the bank you can afford to splurge a little…. Pair the stunning LBD with these sparkly heels by Kurt Geiger for a look that’s simple yet stunning! And the total cost of this hot party season ensemble? Drum roll….£188.

Would you have surgery to get that perfect crop top body?

You’d have to have been living under a rock to not know that the crop top is one of the hottest pieces of clothing of the past few seasons. Loved by celebs, fashion editors, photographers and all-round fashionistas alike, the crop top is no longer solely brought out for trips to the gym or Sporty Spice dress-ups. It can be dressed up or down, and if worn by someone with the right body shape, can actually be quite classy and fashion-forward. But not everyone has the perfect crop top body (read: a flat, toned tummy with more defined abs than you can shake a stick at) which is why wearing a crop top and rocking it like a runway model isn’t as easy and achievable as it looks on the catwalk. Until now. Apparently a new type of non-invasive treatment has emerged in the States (natch) which basically involves using lasers to reduce fat and contour your body so it’s crop top perfect in just 20 minutes. “The new generation of half-shirts is split between more office-appropriate offerings (as in, no actual skin shows) and essentially belly-button peep-holes,” reads a statement on Madison Avenue surgeon Jamé Heskett’s website. “With many more versions to come and the recent introduction of the crop top sweater for fall, more women are not only bracing themselves (while practicing the art of sucking in!) , but also considering non-invasive options to help get them in tip-top-crop shape.” That may be the case, but would you go through all that just to look as good as Taylor Swift in a crop top? Or would you feel better about yourself if you ate right and went to the gym regularly to get into shape instead? If this option becomes popular in the UK, would you consider it […]

Harry Styles has a new model girlfriend… and she’s signed to the same agency as Kate Moss

It’s safe to say that One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles has a type, and his latest girlfriend is no exception. If we are to believe the rumours that are currently doing the rounds (and breaking lots of teen hearts in the process) then Harry’s new girlfriend is none other than 18-year-old Paige Reifler, a young, gorgeous aspiring model from New York! And it comes as no surprise to learn that the pair met at a high profile party… “I went to the Warner party at Shoreditch House with a friend and saw him there,” Paige said. “The next morning I woke up and I was in all of the newspapers and magazines. I wasn’t expecting that, it’s not like that in New York.” Paige is signed to Storm Model Management, the same company that looks after our very own Kate Moss, so you know she’s in great company! Do you think Harry and Paige have what it takes to go the distance? Or will it be a bitter break-up akin to the one he had with Taylor Swift? Thoughts below! [Grazia]

The Met Gala 2014: The best dressed!

All the big names in fashion, film, and music gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night, for the highly anticipated Met Gala! This year, the museum was honouring Charles James, and the dress-code was a very simple (albeit slightly “boring” according to Marc Jacobs) “white tie and decorations”. Anyone familiar with the work of Charles James would know that elegant eveningwear was his thing, so they wouldn’t have gone wrong by donning the finest couture pieces with some elegant jewels. There were many ladies who absolutely nailed their looks, while some probably should have stayed home. Stella McCartney had a big moment on the red carpet, dressing the likes of Rihanna and Reese Witherspoon so flawlesslessly for the event, in two very different but equally stunning dresses. Rihanna went for her signature sexy look, while Reese was a vintage glamour goddess. Selena Gomez also wowed on the red carpet for us, looking very mature for just 21 years old in a bold deep purple Diane von Furstenberg dress. We also love how Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were reunited at the Met Gala – they both looked amazing in  their respective Gucci Premiere and Emilio Pucci dresses. Not all of the ladies went for full-length or ballgown dresses (like Hayden Panettiere who looked like a Princess!) though – Solange Knowles and Lena Dunham were just two of the stars who went for something a little bit shorter. The impact definitely wasn’t lost though. Here are our best dressed celebs from last night’s Met Gala. Let us know who gets your vote in the comments below. Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham Rihanna in Stella McCartney Blake Lively in Gucci Premiere Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney Selena Gomez in Diane von Furstenberg Emma […]

Lorde collaborates with MAC!

Grammy Award winning singer Lorde is launching her very own make-up collection in collaboration with MAC – and we can expect it to land in stores and online on June 5th! “I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid,” she said. “I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick (Snob) at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! “MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.” We think Lorde – who counts Taylor Swift as one of her BFFs –  is one of the coolest and most influential singers of the moment, which makes her perfect for girls to look up to and get style inspiration from. The 56th Grammy Awards 2014: The best dressed!

We were quite happy to sacrifice another night’s beauty sleep for the 56th Grammy Awards which took place in Los Angeles yesterday, as the red carpet was as riveting as ever! We’re eternally grateful for the invention of satellite TV and live streams, otherwise we wouldn’t have got the full “chain mail” effect of Taylor Swift’s stunning Gucci Premiere dress which was the talk of the red carpet and MFL HQ this morning. Another lady who got us talking for all the right reasons was Katy Perry, who gets the award for “most apt dress” thanks to the Valentino Couture music note dress she stepped out in. She gets extra points for lifting a look off the Couture Fashion Week runway so soon after its catwalk debut! Rita Ora decided to go for a short, sweet and sexy look on this occasion, swapping her usual gowns for a dazzling, reflective Lanvin dress. Well, if you have a body like Rita’s you might as well make the most of it and show it off, are we right? Check out the full list of ladies who impressed us on the Grammys red carpet last night; who gets your best-dressed vote? Golden Globes time! Yep, it was the 71st annual Golden Globe Award ceremony in Beverly Hills yesterday, and the red carpet was once again full of the biggest and best-dressed names in Hollywood. TV and films stars alike came together for one of the biggest nights on the awards season calendar, and to say they pulled out all the sartorial stops would be a bit of an understatement, as we don’t think our list of best-dressed celebs has ever been this big! Lupita Nyong’o definitely stole the show for us with her effortlessly elegant Ralph Lauren caped look (we got flashbacks to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tom Ford cape dress at the Oscars a few years ago) while Olivia Wilde and Camila Alves also made our jaws drop with their glittering gowns courtesy of Gucci Première and Dolce and Gabbana respectively. Unsurprisingly, Sofia Vergara went for the wow factor in a large Zac Posen dress, while Jennifer Lawrence went for a Dior dress, as was expected. Style Awards: 10 best dressed of 2013

The Oscars, the Grammys, and more red carpet premieres than you can shake a stick at – 2013 definitely gave us some stylish highs and lows. However we’re focusing on the former as opposed to the latter as we were always taught that “if you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say it at all”, and that’s what we’re sticking to. For this post, anyway! We’ve trawled through the style archives to find our ultimate best-dressed stars of 2013, and we’ve finally settled on a top 10. Yes, there were sleepless nights,  arguments, and copious amounts of coffee consumption, but we’re satisfied with our verdict. Let us know if you agree with us, and whether you think we’ve left anyone out. Or given someone a spot they don’t deserve! Jennifer Lawrence in Dior at the Oscars. The belle of the ball, the ultimate Princess living every little girl’s sartorial dream! Angelina Jolie in Saint Laurent at World War Z premiere. Angelina was all-smiles on the red carpet, and we can’t help but smile when looking at this stunning image of her! Taylor Swift in Reem Acra at Winter Whites charity gala. The perfect regal ensemble to wear to sing karaoke with Prince William and Jon Bon Jovi! Cate Blanchett in Alexander McQueen at Blue Jasmine premiere. Cate really wowed on her Blue Jasmine promo tour, but this monochrome creation was our utter favourite. Simply magical! Sandra Bullock in J Mendel at the Venice Film Festival. The ladies in red! Sandra was sexy, smouldering, sharp… and did we already say sexy? Michelle Obama in Jason Wu at the Inauguration Ball. Michelle Obama made Jason Wu’s day year life by once again choosing him to design her gown for the historical event! Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia at the Grammy Awards. Red […]

The truth behind those Jessica Hart Victoria’s Secret rumours

Can we have one year where there isn’t a drama or a bit of controversy surrounding the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? Evidently not! It’s been reported that VS model Jessica Hart, who had been a firm fixture in the catalogues and in the catwalk show for the past few years, was let go… and her comments about Taylor Swift were thought to be the reason. To recap, the model was apparently heard saying that the country singer “didn’t fit” the brand, and all hell has broken loose ever since. Or at least that’s what was being reported. However, that might not have been the case… “There is no truth to the rumours that Jessica Hart has been fired or that she will no longer work with the brand,” Victoria’s Secret’s Ed Razek said. “As you will see, she was a great part of our show and we look forward to continuing to work with her. “As previously reported, we at Victoria’s Secret and all those involved – including Jessica Hart -were thrilled to have Taylor be a part of the show. We look forward to sharing her performances next week during the television special.” Phew – glad that’s all sorted out. We guess we will have to see how truthful that statement is when the line-up for next year’s show is confirmed. Do you think this hoopla was just a way to generate more interest in the show? [Vogue]

The 2013 American Music Awards: The best dressed!

The annual American Music Awards took place in LA last night, and it’s pretty safe to say that the ladies – whether they worked in music or not – did their bit to make sure they stood out on the red carpet, on stage, and even in the audience. White was a big theme on the red carpet, with Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie opting to wear the shade – or lack thereof – as they arrived at the ceremony. While a newly-slimmed down Christina and perma-skinny Nicole went for dresses with cut-out detailing to show off their toned and flawless figures, Miley went for a chic tux instead. Didn’t expect that, did you? Elsewhere on the red carpet, the wow factor continued with a stunning Oscar de la Renta look from Katy Perry, a dazzling Dolce and Gabbana dress from Ariana Grande, and a Versace-clad Lady Gaga arriving on a white horse. We couldn’t make it up! See the rest of our red carpet hits below and let us know who your favourite is… Katy Perry in Oscar de la Renta Taylor Swift in Julien Macdonald Ariana Grande in Dolce and Gabbana Lady Gaga in Versace Jennifer Hudson in Christian Dior Naya Rivera in Michael Kors Christina Aguilera in Maria Lucia Hohan Zoe Saldana in Roland Mouret Miley Cyrus in Versus Versace Ciara in J Mendel Heidi Klum in Marchesa Nicole Richie in Emilio Pucci
