Is it possible to hate fashion but love clothes? I just cant decide. I checked out the definition of fashion:
1. The prevailing style or custom, as in dress or behavior: out of fashion.
2. Something, such as a garment, that is in the current mode: a swimsuit that is the latest fashion.
3. The style characteristic of the social elite: a man of fashion.
4. Manner or mode; way: Set the table in this fashion.
5. A personal, often idiosyncratic manner: played the violin in his own curious fashion.
6. Kind or variety; sort: people of all fashions.
7. Shape or form; configuration
A garment that is in the current mode, so without clothes would fashion exist?
Maybe its better to say that you can hate what fashion represents because I do think there is a very ugly side to the fashion world, but can you say that you hate fashion but love clothes???

Yeah I think so. I love clothes but hate the way that what we are ‘allowed’ to wear is to a large degree dictated by what is in fashion. I think this is silly, I follow the motto of wear what you like and this shouldn’t change from season to season. Because of fashion all you are able to buy are flimsy garments that break easily are already out of date before they are even swiped through the register. As a 16 yr old I prefer quality clothes in classic designs that if chosen carefully will be worn and treasured for a long time. Fashion pretends to give us an edge, while really it is limiting our ability to express ourselves. Now I know fashions arn’t going away, and I think that they do have their place but I suggest to anyone who reads this to do your own thing! I promise you will feel better about yourself as you advertise your own unique personality to the world. Anyway it’s a much better statement than saying look at me I’m just another impressionable young (or old) fashion floozy off the street…
Or at least thats what I think…
yes i hate fashion and the way everyone follows it. it’s way better to have your own style and wear amazing clothes that nobody else has (:
