New York, New York

21st February 2005 9:45 pm

New York was a mixture of glam (Matthew Williamson) boho (Marc by Marc Jacobs) and conservative (Roland Mouret). These 3 trends seem to be dominating fashion at the moment with boho in the lead followed by glam. I cant say I’ve seen anyone under 40 pushing the conservative/secretary look which they tried to inflict upon us last Autumn/Winter. However it’s a possibility it may catch on this Autumn for those who become sick of dressing like a Sienna/Kate clone.

According to the catwalk the colours to be seen in are mainly brown, gold, silver and white. Boots were worn over trousers, and fashion was still extremely feminine.

To round it off Jennifer Lopez displayed the contents of her wardrobe. The singer/actress didnt wander too far from her own personal style, nevertheless her collection was better than expected.

Most favourite collection would have to be Doo Ri, who presented this original coat as seen below.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
