7th on sale makes comeback

19th July 2005 2:20 pm

7th on sale, one of the largest sample sales of designer items (such as children’s, homeware, men and womenswear) straight from the showrooms of Seventh Avenue was last held a decade ago and now in an attempt to restore what was one of the main key events of the year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America will be bringing the sale back but with a twist. The sale will take place online as an ebay auction from Nov. 10 to Dec 7, and will include limited-edition designs. As before all proceeds will go to Aids Charities.

“This was an event that had lost its energy at a certain point, but no one lost their passion or sensitivity for the cause,” said the designer Kenneth Cole, who is the chairman of the American Foundation for AIDS Research and an honorary chairman of the sale. “Our goal is to make this the biggest online sample sale, ever.”

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
