Name: Damian Collins
Occupation: Designer/Director
Label: Digital Filth …not for the average person!
Describe Digital Filth in three words….
Don’t Be Average!
What are you wearing today?
Black Digital Filth Cardigan, White Tee, Mavi Jeans, Adidas Shell Toes
Where do you find the inspiration for your designs?
I’m inspired by everything around me, from places I’ve been to people I’ve seen, it could be architecture, interiors, or anyone with the confidence to follow their own style.
Shopping online is continuing to become more and more popular, how successful has selling online been for you?

For new designers the web can free you from the retail buying ‘seasons’ and Digital Filth could initially only be purchased on the web. This gave the customer the pleasure of discovering the brand from the comfort of their own home, and I believe that this can help develop brand loyalty as it’s a solitary act. However when the demand increases as it thankfully has done with Digital Filth, I believe its important for customers to be able to actually touch and feel the garments. We are always looking for new retailers to take the brand on board, but we have to be selective as not to dilute our work to this point.
How would you describe your style?
Eclectic.
Who or what were your fashion influences growing up?
Growing up and to this day, they have changed daily, and most of my fashion influences have come from outside the industry. 90′s Hip Hop (NaS, Wu Tang etc…), Paul Weller, Casino (The Movie)
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple! Stupid)

i love your philosophy on fashion, i’m really feeling it in all your garments, a cool 80′s vibe seems present as well, especially in the cricket style jumper – that’s a cool item. hey, Congratulations on your MOBO awards association at The Royal Albert Hall in London this year, i wasnt there but i heard your clothes went down well. nice one. when can i expect to see more additions to the catalogue? and can let me know if you have any shows planned.
Thanks for the comments, I will be adding new garments soon and if you’re interested email me back as I’m always looking for new avenues to explore.
