CAST OFF KNITTING CLUB

[by Michele Obi | 16 November 2005 | No Comment]

Fashion and Textile Museum, London
14, 21 & 28 January 2006
4 & 12 February 2006 (Special Valentines session)
2pm-6pm

The popular Cast Off series is back at the Fashion and Textile Museum. The mad and dangerous underground knitting group Cast Off will be leading the knitting tea parties, presenting their funky knitting techniques and fresh ideas to anyone who is willing to learn no experience necessary!

The first Cast Off series proved to be a major success, with those in attendance describing the afternoon as peaceful and enjoyable as they sat around a room awash in lovely coloured wools with vintage knitting patterns lining the walls; listening to each other joyfully chat and escape from the hectic city life.

Each afternoon caters to everyone from advanced knitters to beginners. Feel free to bring your own wool or buy from Rachael, our knitting guru. Tea, coffee, and light snacks are included. There are only 20 knitters admitted at a time so book soon and don’t be left out in the cold!

Cost: £20/£15 concessions

In between editing, freelancing and spending most of her time on the internet, she also finds time to shop (too much) and obsess over shoes. She loves sushi and counts Matthew Williamson, John Galliano, Valentino and Hussein Chalayan as her favourite designers. Her biggest regret - never seeing Prince in concert!
