Demi Moore to play Coco Chanel

[by Michele Obi | 18 May 2006 | 2 Comments]

The rumour mill has it that Demi Moore could be cast as Coco Chanel in a biopic about the iconic French fashion designer. The biopic will follow Chanel’s life from age 20 to her death at age 81. As well as portraying her rise to a fashion designer the film will also explore her time as a singer, and her many love affairs one of which was with a Nazi officer during World War Two.

I love luxury. And luxury lies not in richness and ornateness but in the absence of vulgarity. Vulgarity is the ugliest word in our language. I stay in the game to fight it.

The feature will focus on the years prior to Chanel’s fame and filming looks set to begin early 2008. [...]
