Pete Doherty designs for Gio-Goi
It’s true, Pete Doherty has sold his soul to fashion. Announced just yesterday, Gio-Goi, the label known for dressing many in the music industry confirmed Doherty will be involved in the design process for the Spring/Summer ‘07 range. Calling the recovering drug addict the inspiration behind the line, co-founder Anthony Donnelly sang his praises for Doherty claiming that,
“Peter looks fantastic as a model. We are very excited. We look forward to having Pete’s influence as a rock icon in the design process.”
With Kate dabbling in music and frequenting the stage with the Babyshambles, it was inevitable Doherty would try his hand at fashion. Fans won’t have long to wait as the line is launching next month and will be sold in Selfridges. A special preview will be given by Doherty who is set to wear some of the designs at a secret Babyshambles gig in London scheduled just before Christmas.
