Men have worn leggings and tights centuries not years before women. They have bene around since 1600's. We men are the one's who started leggings, capris, knickers, and capris with tights or nylon socks. Look in history in the colonial times. Men worn capris and nylon stockings. In 1700 and 1800 and early 1900s we still worn tights with shorts or knickers. England and Europe Still do. There are plenty of europeans that wear tights and many wearing legigngs and will sell more than women in the European Market. There are sites to buy tights for men. Sports brands offer leggings for men now. What is the difference and big deal! I am for them and I am hoping they come to US market. I am wanting to buy them from Calvin Klien. For now I have both tights and leggings for sport and casual use.
Go GUYS! BUY THEM! Wear them to sleep in and wear under shorts of any kind: basketball/ casual shorts. I have witnessed this several times and have tried it casually myself. What is the big deal. Go to Tights-for-men.com , Activskin.com, or do a search on it and on "leggings for men 2007". you will find it.

Leggings for men is not a new trend - one that's been around for years. It's time to get over the body image constraints and go for the comfort. Just wear them. Leggings are perfect casual wear for women AND men. Having worn leggings for years, I'm aware of people's comments both negative and very positive. After all, it’s not the leggings on the man but the man in the leggings. Everyone looks good in leggings and some people look great!
If more people, women and men, wear leggings then it will just be another apparel choice. At one time denim jeans were worn only by miners digging for gold. Now they are everywhere.
So never say never - when you do decide to wear leggings, choose a well made pair - not with cotton fibers that bag out over time but a high tech fiber that retains its shape. Go for the comfort and support. Leggings that go to the ankle look better than capri style that chop the leg. Plus the full length leggings support you from your ankle to your waist and give you an energetic lift. Laugh, Live, Love & Enjoy! Check out www.UnJeans.com

[...] Another week ends, so it’s time to see what’s been happening across the fashion blogs! This week, of course, there’s been one big topic of discussion - the catwalk comings and goings of New York Fashion Week. Most of the fashion bloggers have been keeping a keen eye on the Catwalk: Love Made Visible looks at Michael Kors, Papierblog peeps at Jason Wu and Denimology admires Carmen Electra’s jeans at the Rock and Republic show. Coutorture, meanwhile, has been doing a sterling job of rounding up all the shows, and Daddy Likey fell in love with Jill Stuart. Her collection, that is -not her personally. In non-Fashion week related coverage, My Fashion Life drew the line at men in leggings. Well yes, I can see her point… Style Bubble makes a rare post on size issues in fashion. I Am Fashion looks ahead to Valentine’s Day, with some Valentine’s gifts for him. And finally, if you’re tired of Fashion Week, the Go Fug Yourself girls have been blogging - what else? - New York Fugshion week… [...]

I had the same sentiment and wrote about this on Pierce Mattie's Fashion Blog about two weeks ago. I've only gotten 2 comments in response to what I wrote...both from men in support of them wearing leggings.

There is only one word that comes to mind:

Ewww.

;)
