Sex and the City film in the pipeline

Strap on your Manolos and ready yourself with a strong cosmopolitan: The news we’ve been waiting to hear is finally out. Yes, you guessed it, Sex and The City, the movie, is finally in the pipeline. For anyone who religiously followed the musings of Carrie Bradshaw, worshipped the style god that is Patricia Field, and for all the legions of fans left desolate when the hit series ended in 2004, our prayers have finally been answered, as we hear that actor Mario Cantone (a.k.a. bitchy queen Anthony Marantino) has leaked information that a script is being written by veteran scriptwriter, director and producer of the TV series, Michael Patrick King, Metro.co.uk quotes Catone as saying

“I know the script is being written and I know it will be brilliant because Michael Patrick King is writing it. I know that I’m in it - I have a nice part in it, I’m told. If it happens, we should film it in the early fall I think”.

So if the rumours are true, it seems that big bucks are on the cards for the stars, and Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis have managed to put their differences aside to reprise their roles as the fabulous foursome. Also rumoured to be back on board is stylist Patricia Field who has since worked with the likes of Meryl Streep and a Chanel-clad Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada. Sadly we’ll have to wait a while for the finished product, but with a film that promises to be this fabulous we think it’s worth the wait!

[...] I love Patricia Field. As costume designer for the hit series Sex and the City, Field proved to be an integral component to the show and her creativity was an inspiration. She was responsible for many of the trends that dominated fashion during the time that women all over were gripped by Carrie and Big’s never ending love affair and I was super excited to hear that she would be creating an affordable line for none other than ASOS. Sadly the collection is nothing to write home about but there is one key piece that is worth mentioning. Both quirky and elegant, these Tri Coloured Mule Sandals, £125 definitely steal the spotlight. [...] But what’s going on with Jennifer Hudson? The lucky lady will be playing Carrie’s assistant and if her acting is as good as it was in Dreamgirls then we are in for a treat……I just pray they do something to improve her outfits because this ensemble just isnt cutting it. Sex and the City: The Movie comes out next May….I cant wait! [...]
