My dad bought me one of these the first time we travelled. We were going on quite an intense pilgrimage through Burma, and as a girl, I felt like I was pretty much on my own (I travelled with the ladies, and my twinbro and dad travelled with the men). The Casio G-Shock was my pride and joy. It made me feel so capable to set my alarm, and check where we were in the day on the itinerary. (I was pretty proud of my reading skills, too!)
