Top 5 Beauty Buys: Make Up Artist: Lina Hanson

If there’s anyone who knows a secret or two about the beauty industry its Swedish-born Lina Hanson. Trained by Jeanine Lobell (creator of Stila cosmetics) Lina boasts a portfolio of work that’s been featured in Nylon, V magazine, Vogue and many more top publications as well as working on backstage beauty for designers such as Betsey Johnson, Alice Roi and Nanette Lepore. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Lina now freelances as a celebrity make up artist and has very kindly taken time out of her busy schedule to give us her “Top Five Beauty Buys”.
1. Creme De La Mer: An excellent moisturizer that’s perfect to use underneath foundation. It evens out the foundation, giving a fresh look and best of all it makes it stay put for longer.
2. Kiss Me Mascara: Unlike other mascara’s, Kiss Me protects the lashes while ensuring you arent left with any clumps.
3. Dior Rouge Replenishing Lipcolor Lipstick in Red Premiere: The perfect shade of lipstick to get the trendy red lip for fall.
4. Tarte Brightening Wand in Rest Assured: This is a nude pencil and liquid shimmer in one. Use the pencil on the inside rim of your eye and the shimmer in the inside corner of the eye as well as on the brow bone to open up the eye.
5. Boscia Fresh Blotting Linens: A great blotting paper to freshen up and keep the shine off your face.

Michele Obi is the publisher and founder of My Fashion Life. In between editing, freelancing and spending most of her time on the internet, she also finds time to shop (too much) and obsess over shoes. She loves sushi and counts Matthew Williamson, John Galliano, Valentino and Hussein Chalayan as her favourite designers. Her biggest regret - never seeing Prince in concert!

Too bad Lina Hanson of Beauty Blabber doesn’t write her own site and gets her ideas from other people’s blogs. She has her boyfriend who is an author writing her blog. A guy writing about lipgloss is just creepy. I am leaving this poser blog behind.
I worked along with Lina a year as a nanny for Jeanine. Great that she is finally doing makeup on her own now, but I think it’s getting to her head. Jeanine trained her inbetween her changing Poppi’s diapers.
My favorite blog is Beautybanter.com!!! Loooove that blog! It is better than beautyblabber. Sry
Creme de La Mer? Not everyone has $150 a jar!?! Any reasonable suggestions instead?
Lina Hanson is a great makeup artist! Beauty Blabber is one of my favorite beauty blogs ever.
Lina you rock! I’m so happy with your success, I’ll come visit you in fabulous L.A soon ;-)I’d recommend anyone checking out Lina’s http://www.beautyblabber.com blog; very cute, innovative, fun interviews and always so many great ideas!! xo
There are so many beautyblogs on the web. Some are better than others. I wouldn’t say innovative though. My ultimate favorites are http://www.beautyaddict.blogspot.com, and http://www.bellasugar.com !!!
Oh didnt know that. People really need to write their own blogs! Isn’t that what a blog is all about.
