British Fashion Awards: The winners are…

28th November 2007 4:47 pm

We usually have something to say about the awards dished out at The British Fashion Awards , we generally tend to disagree , but this year all we have to say is “predictable. Before we get going can we start by declaring that this year Agyness Deyn and Lily Allen looked gorgeous in Giles? We love the feathers!

So Aggie ran away with Model of the year, Marchesa won Red carpet designer of the Year (we actually disagree with their critics and think they are deserving of this award. They create beautiful red carpet gowns). Christopher Kane bagged New designer of the year while Designer of the year went to Stella McCartney.

Erdem must feel like he’s dreaming after winning the coveted £50,000 Swarovski-sponsored Fashion Enterprise Award and finally outstanding achievement in fashion design was received by Dame Vivienne Westwood.

And so we wait for next year. Hopefully The British Fashion Council will shake things up a bit with some refreshing new nominees.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
