Shopping: YumYum Neck Warmers

When the chilly winter air gets to be too much to bear, the best thing to do is slip on some cashmere gloves and a long cuddly scarf (in addition to your winter coat). Sometimes, though, that long scarf can be more trouble than it’s worth. Wrapping it around your neck multiple times creates pesky static electricity that can cause your hair to do very strange things, and possibly destroy the style altogether (plus, the less-than-compact size means it won’t fit in your evening bag during a night out).

Which is where the Cashmere YumYum comes in very handy. Made of 100% cashmere and handmade by co-operative groups in Nepal, this handy-dandy little accessory wraps neatly around your neck much like a turtleneck (or the far less fashionable neckwarmer). It fastens with discreet magnetic snaps and comes in a variety of bright colours. $50 available at TMD Design
