A brief look at the Pre-Fall collections.

After sifting through the pictures of the pre-fall 08 collections we can’t help but feel excited at the prospect of fashion week. And If Zac Posen’s presentation is an indication of what’s to come then we literally can’t wait. His remarkable attention to detail is visible throughout! If you like your clothing pretty and cute then Posen’s collection is for you. Like us, you’ll adore the beautiful black mini-dress (above) and his gorgeous baby-doll dresses complete with romantic bows (a sign that the “bow” trend is not going anywhere, anytime soon!).

The spirit of romance also cast its spell over at Roberto Cavalli, who ditched his love of animal prints in favour of florals. No surprise there, considering floral prints were a popular choice amongst designers for their Spring/Summer 08 collections. What is surprising however, is how understated the line is. Perhaps we’re witnessing a shift in the Cavalli aesthetic?

Finally one piece that deserves a mention is this skirt suit from Luca Luca. We want it and we want it now! The colour, the cut. Love it! Roll on fashion week…roll on!
