First came black leggings under trapeze dresses and big sweaters. Then came latex tights as an alternative to pants (a la Lindsay Lohan). And now, we’re seeing the colourful evolution of legwear take hold. From animal print to jewel encrusted, from fishnet to sheer and from pucci-esque patterns to solids, hosiery of all shapes and textures will continue to be a style staple for 2008.
Although the trend gives us gals another way to express ourselves and have a bit of fun with fashion, I’m afraid that we’ll look back in a few years and wonder why we thought dressing like a Cirque du Soleil performer was fab.
