Who: Deborah Henning – an up and coming designer who has quickly made a name for herself in the industry. Only in her mid-20’s, this ambitious and talented designer from Manchester has already gained experience working at renowned international fashion houses and has received accolades surrounding her first collection for Spring/Summer 08.

What: Known for incorporating Japanese and other cultural influences into her work and for innovative draping techniques, Henning’s pieces are boldly shaped and intricately constructed , truly giving her designs a one-of-a-kind feel.

Her last collection featured luxurious silks in bright colours (deep orange, blue and turquoise) balanced out by more muted taupe and gold colours, creating a striking visual contrast on the runway.

Why: Since the launch of her eponymous label, Deborah Henning has become a coveted designer for high-end retailers and is clearly a star on the rise.
