Who: Deborah Henning - an up and coming designer who has quickly made a name for herself in the industry. Only in her mid-20’s, this ambitious and talented designer from Manchester has already gained experience working at renowned international fashion houses and has received accolades surrounding her first collection for Spring/Summer 08.

What: Known for incorporating Japanese and other cultural influences into her work and for innovative draping techniques, Henning’s pieces are boldly shaped and intricately constructed – truly giving her designs a one-of-a-kind feel.

Her last collection featured luxurious silks in bright colours (deep orange, blue and turquoise) balanced out by more muted taupe and gold colours, creating a striking visual contrast on the runway.

Why: Since the launch of her eponymous label, Deborah Henning has become a coveted designer for high-end retailers and is clearly a star on the rise. We can’t wait to see what this young designer will showcaseat the esteemed On/Off event at London fashion week next month… but if the success of her first collection is any indication, we’re prepared to hear Deborah Henning’s name being whispered in fashion circles everywhere for some time to come.
