January may be one of the worst months of the year in the Northern hemisphere; the cold weather and overcast skies get to even the sunniest of dispositions and fill us with the desire to spend the rest of winter wrapped in a duvet.

But sadly things like uh… jobs or school usually prevent us from having that luxury…except on the weekends of course. But a cure for the winter doldrums lies in a cute outfit!

Topshop‘s Animal Print Dress comes in a seasonally appropriate black and white print but the cotton fabric is light enough to transition into spring-wear.

Pair with thick tights, ankle boots (or shoe boots), a swingy knee-length coat and your favourite warm-weather accessories for an ensemble that defies even the dreariest day. £35 available at Topshop

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!

Editor’s Pick

Polish off your sartorial brunch, boardroom and weekend silhouettes with Fendi's black textured leather duffle tote accented with tonal cow-print haircalf trim for that extra kick of Italian flair.
