Nothing works better to amp things up when you’re having a bad hair day than a demure headband with just the right amount of bling. If you’re like us then chances are you’ve been fawning over the impressive repertoire of gorgeous hair accessories worn week after week by Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester (aka Blair Waldorf).
Get the look with a selection of headbands from Stacey Lapidus. Her designs have been featured in dozens of fashion mags and have dressed the manes of countless celebs.
Our favourite from her Spring collection (although it’s tough to choose!) is the ethereal double braided silk headband with crystals as photographed on hippie chic fashionista, Mischa Barton.
A pearl necklace or earings would compliment these headbands or any hair accessory perfectly.
I’ve struggled trying to find some simple, but elegant headbands. Something that would mesh well with dress slacks and jeans. My biggest problem is that most of the headbands I buy are either too plain looking or — over the top gaudy! I’ve been on a quest to find some that look classy enough to wear to a formal dinner — and also for a typical shopping day at the mall.

If you are looking for a great alternative (and priced well) I would try http://www.Pinkpewter.com Originals. Some great styles from a new brand that is really making a splash in the hair accessories market. I saw them at a high end salon near where I live and they were hot — had to buy one (I bought “Debbie”)….
