Whenever Spring is almost in the air, we get drawn into shopping for light, breezy dresses that are easy to throw on and effortless to wear from day-to-night (maybe with a simple switch from flip flops to sandals).

Now that it’s abundantly clear that bold prints and colours are must-haves for Spring/Summer 08, it’s time to fill that void in our closets (where a lot of safe solids tend to live) with some cute dresses that aren’t afraid of making a little bit of noise.

I don’t know about most of you, but my hair is completely unmanageable. I don’t mean that I can’t get it to hold a curl or it is too limp or anything like that- rather, my hair has a mind and will of its own. If you think this sounds ridiculous, well, you haven’t seen my hair. It’s insanely thick (like, every single hairdresser I have ever gone to tells me that my hair is the thickest they have ever seen, AND I break hair elastics at least once a week).

If Prada’s flower-stemmed heels were a bit too … flamboyant for you, check out their latest version of the heel-as-art shoe. A bit art-deco, a bit Renaissance with the jewels, and a bit 1950s with it’s Mary-Jane style. This shoe projects luxury and class. Despite these various influences, the whole shoe ties together quite nicely and doesn’t feel “busy” at all.

Fashion. Some love to hate it, we love to love it. Last season Marc Jacobs was the villain we loved to hate, this season…well lets just say that Galliano has taken over where Jacobs left off. Dior’s collection for Autumn/Winter 08 has been condemned by the critics. In one collection he’s swiftly fallen from grace. But you know what? In what’s been a bland fashion season, at least he’s given us something to talk about.
