NY Fashion Week AW08: Willow by Kit Willow
The Willow by Kit Willow presentation was one of the last shows to be held in Bryant Park for Fashion Week AW08 (and my last show in the tents) so I did my best to take it all in. It’s been an exciting week!
The Sydney-based designer created a beautiful collection of elegantly tailored separates and dresses for the young and modern woman. Fitted jackets, girly dresses and wide-leg pants defined her collection, but it was the absolutely hot thigh-high lace up boots featured with almost every look that had me hooked.
Muted metallics were also key, and were contrasted by pops of orangey burnt sienna and royal blue pieces. My hands-down favourite piece was a black cowl-neck baby doll dress that had a broken glass effect trickling up the hemline. It was absolutely adorable and paired with some fierce boots!
