According to the press release at Ben de Lisi, the AW08 collection was for the “woman who embodies class with a hint of danger”…..and yes the collection was classy, chic and sophisticated, basically everything we’ve come to expect from De Lisi. As always his evening wear was incredible. Classic, silk jersey dresses were belted at the waist and black patent dresses were accessorised with large oversized bows (when is this trend going to end?).

De Lisi paid a quick homage to the 80’s with shiny silver blazers and ruffled skirts. Sleeker looks came in the form of gold leggings (which I loved!) and patent trench coats.

The real danger in the collection came in the form of De Lisi’s use of chain prints, which popped up on trench coats, hooded jackets, and in particular a turtle neck, jumpsuit (It could have been my imagination but I could have sworn I heard silent gasps of horror).

However even the jumpsuit couldn’t detract from the fact that it was a strong collection with solid pieces.
