Beauty: The Nars Multiple in Orgasm

narsmultiple_280308.jpgNars have recently added some new shades/colours for Spring 08, to their existing line of products which I was lucky enough to test out. For the past month or so I’ve been using the Nars duo eyeshadow in Alhambra, Lipgloss/Lip stain duo in Stolen Kisses/Pampa, The Multiple in Orgasm and Lip Gloss in Greek Holiday. I’ll start with my thoughts on, The Multiple in Orgasm and will post about the other products separately through the week.

I’ve heard (and read) lots of great reviews, not only about The Multiple, but also about the fabulousness of their most famous peachy pink, colour – Orgasm. So, naturally this was the product I was most excited to test out.

The great thing about the Multiple is that you can literally use it everywhere! It can be applied to your cheeks, eyes, lips and to the body for that all important sexy shimmer. The idea is excellent. Convenience and beauty all rolled into one. But the colour just didn’t work for me, no matter how much I tried (and believe me I tried!).

It felt great on my skin, was easy to apply, but unfortunately it clashed with my skin tone, and rather than add a glow to my cheeks, the pink hues gave a washed out look to my dark skin tone.

Disappointing, I know. But on a brighter note, I loved the concept of The Multiple so much that I’m going to try out some of their other colours to find a shade that suits me and I did have better luck with the other products I’ve been trying out. More reviews to come!
