I must say that I am happy and quite relieved to see that maxi dresses are back on the fashion scene - especially after a seemingly endless foray into gam-exposing minis, short-shorts and curve-hugging leggings.

It’ll be a really nice change to head out to dinner without worrying about sitting uncomfortably in skinny jeans after a big meal or being paranoid about showing too much skin.

Recently, celebs like Lauren Conrad, Christina Aguilera and Hayden Panettiere have all been spotted rockin’ maxi dresses by LA-based label, Gypsy 05 for daytime or casual evening looks.

These dresses are simple and easy to throw on, and are partly glam with their plunging v-neck bodices.

Made of 100% organic cotton, the floor-grazing frocks come in an array of colours (I’m a fan of the Lipstick) and are “must haves” for the eco-friendly fashionista who’s looking for a little extra breathing room. $100 available at Gypsy 05.
