80’s Throwback That Works: Givenchy Jelly Gladiators
I know I made a big stink about jelly shoes making a comeback a few weeks ago (referencing the unwarranted resurrection of cheesy 80’s trends), but after seeing these Givenchy Jelly Gladiators, I’ve officially had a change of heart.
We all know by now that gladiator sandals are going to be all the rage this summer. From strappy knee-length wedges to comfy t-strap flats, the variations of these historical throwbacks are all over the market.
Givenchy has taken the trend one step further and merged this uber-hot shoe with an old childhood favourite to create an ingenious tongue-in-cheek version of the gladiator flat. They are fun, chic and absolutely unique…and they just might be my one exception to the anti-80’s fashion rule. $165 available at Barneys.
