I can’t think of a more glamorous place than the French Riviera in the South of France. The sparkling ocean, never ending sunshine, soft sands…oh, and the location of the most glamorous event of the year – the Cannes Film Festival.

This year proves no different from the previous festivals, with appearances from all the big name Hollywood stars. How to lose friends and alienate people hit the screens, and Lily Allen (I love her blonde!) and Mischa Barton (ever the boho queen in her white Matthew Williamson dress) turned out for a glass of champagne at its after party.

Angelina Jolie, in all her pregnant splendour, graced the red carpet for the premier of Kung Fu Panda in a stunning green dress (clearly gone are the stretch pants and smock tops that are frequently associated with baby bumps) by Max Azria.

Other stunners at the festival include Cate Blanchett in a Giorgio Armani Prive silk organza gown,

and Eva Longoria in a turquoise chiffon Versace evening dress on the red carpet for the premiere of Gael Garcia Bernal’s Blindness.
