This might be old news to you, but when I recently read about the new Missoni hotel chain opening up next year, I immediately got dialling to my nearest travel agent. You see, I have long been a fan of this legendary fashion house and I really couldn’t wait to experience a holiday where I can literally become immersed in their fabrics and colourful patterns.

Pairing up with hotel giant, the Rezidor Hotel Group, Missoni is taking fashion to a new level by creating an ultimate uber stylish hotel brand. With ten hotels in the pipeline (two of them are opening next year) in various exotic and unusual locations (think Kuwait and Edinburgh) it’s what the fashion clique have been waiting for,

This hotel giant is responsible for some iconic hotel chains like the Radisson and Park Inn, so you can only imagine what they might create with the input of Missoni Creative Director, Rosita Missoni.

The hotels will reflect contemporary Italian life and style as well as having the Missoni stamp all over them. Features include a Missoni-themed restaurant , a Missoni coffee bar, a Missoni lounge and a Missoni spa (not to mention a fitness centre and swimming pool, too). And each one will be tailored to suit the area in which it is built.

Sounds a bit like Missoni overkill, doesn’t it? Nevertheless I am still very excited to make my trip to Edinburgh next year, and perhaps I might come home with some Missoni décor of my own.
