Economic hard times, say what? If you hadn’t noticed, the news abounds with negative information about the economy. But on the bright side (and I’m not trying to be flip), lots of our favourite retailers are having ginormous sales a bit earlier in the season than usual, giving us the chance to pick up a lot of fabulous merch at a discount!

Bloomingdales is currently offering 40% off their sale merchandise (the list is pretty extensive, but it ends today!).

Net-a-porter is so excited about their sale merch that they’re sending out e-mailers that create looks all based upon items on sale.

There is always an extensive selection of sale items at Saks and they have just added a ton of new items online at prices up to 40% off; and Nordstrom is in the midst of their half yearly sale with prices slashed up to 50%.

Now, I’m not saying that groups of fashionistas splurging on bags and dresses is going to resuscitate the economy overnight, so spend wisely–because being in debt is a definite fashion don’t!
