Meaningful Jewelry: Satya
While walking around the Village a while ago, I stumbled across a cute jewelry store called Satya and was intrigued by the general “zen” feel of the place (golden Buddha statue in window and all) and decided to take a peek. With original pieces available in gold or silver, the designs were stylish, affordable and clearly inspired by elements of Buddhism and the yoga practice.
Celeb fans of the line include the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Rachel Bilson; and recently, Courtney Cox and husband, David Arquette, collaborated with the designers to create a special butterfly necklace (a symbol of hope), with all sale proceeds going to benefit the EB Medical Research Foundation. $24 available online or in stores.
