Naomi Campbell for YSL: The Supermodel reigns again
From Prada to Yves Saint Laurent, the supermodels are back with a vengeance! As Autumn/Winter 08/09 approaches the new ad campaigns showing us what we’ll be wearing have been revealed and the catwalk’s elite Linda, Naomi, Kate and Christy to name a few are fronting the biggest brands in town.
Shot by Ines van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, you may recognize the sexy sequined trousers Naomi’s working in the YSL campaign (above), as she wore them recently to the CFDA awards.
Making the most of her statuesque frame, Naomi looks every inch the icon and not surprisingly as she is the personification of what YSL stands for - ‘Class, Luxe and Glamour’.
I’m much happier seeing Naomi than Kate for YSL, lets hope she stays for a few more seasons!
So, is the new crop of waif thin models over? Is this the end of seeing models like Tanya D strutting the catwalk? Lets wait and see…
