It’s an interesting concept, supported by a website of the same name www.toptipsforgirls.com which has sponsors like Net-A-Porter and regular ‘ top tip’ contributors. The website is highly rated by Vogue: ‘One of our favourites’, and Tatler: ‘You won’t get through the day without it’, but will the book have the same impact?

I would most definitely page through it in a bookshop, but personally it’s not something I would go out and buy. I don’t think it’s that relevant for the modern woman. I quite like the website (perhaps she should have stuck with that?), but even then do I really want a tip on ‘How to stop being lonely’?
Maybe some women do need to know ‘How to escape a plane in the event of a crash’, but right now it’s just not for me. Now, how about Top Tips for Boys? That certainly would be a best seller…
