toryburch150708.jpgCirca 1997 the chunky heel was supporting the majority of female consumers. From there the heel naturally returned to a skinny stiletto and now has returned to its chunky past time. This consumer will buy it…reluctantly.

I understand that certain styles come and go over the years, but this one I cannot fully support. The chunky heel does nothing for me, except add some extra “clonking” noise to each step in my bounce.

I have always been a fan of Tory Burch. I admire the versatility in her ready-to-wear collection and indulge in her use of textiles from the 60s and 70s that masks her entire compilation. The use of mustard and navy as a staple for a collection could not be more appropriate, given its inspiration.

Recently, Ms. Burch was honored the CFDA award for Accessory Designer of the Year, which is extremely well deserved, however, I cannot support her decision to submit to the chunkiness that is this heel.

If you take a look at the rest of Tory Burch Summer 08, (chunkiness aside), you will still see the loveable style that is Tory Burch. So do not be discouraged fair consumers, you can still have your Tory Burch minus a side of chunky heel. $295 available at ToryBurch.com
