Designer Profile: Edward Sexton

Who: Edward Sexton - iconic Saville Row-based tailor well known for creating Bianca Jagger’s white tux wedding suit, dressing Twiggy, Jackie O and Lennon and McCartney and more recently helping Stella with her collections for Chloé.
What: Sexton made his fashion week debut with a A/W 08 collection for boys and girls that played with notions of classic English style teamed with a Sebastian Flyte-esque eccentricity. There were Crombie-style coats and double breasted jackets for debonair men whilst the ladies stepped out in jaunty braces, high-waisted trousers and long blazers (the sloaney navy number adorned with gold buttons being a personal favourite).
Why: His elegant designs effortlessly bridge the gap between traditional Saville Row heritage and modern romantic tailoring and he appeals to that nostalgic longing for a charmed life of ‘grown-up’ dressing that is dominating street style at the moment. Tip your hat, the master of tailoring has returned….

Looks like the designs were made for people over 6ft 5! I really like the tailoring, but know that the look would not work for my 5ft 3 frame.
