Anyone not familiar with the fashionistas playground Liberty, is missing a treat, but don’t worry because the Liberty print is back and this you won’t be able to miss.

The department store, today known for its cutting-edge designer collections began it’s life in the fabric trade and claimed fame for its’ signature prints. Creating an array of fabrics in whimsical and girlish prints, which still make any fashion lover weak at the knees.

And not one to miss a trick the high street has revolutionized these charming prints. Nike, an unlikely Liberty print candidate, has created a Liberty Dunk trainer, Gap has created their own line using Liberty prints and now Oasis and Topshop have got in on the act.

The prints are wonderfully girly, and Oasis and Topshop have done Liberty proud with equally feminine dresses and tops. Wear with peep toes for a true vintage look or team with a pair of biker boots to toughen it up and make it a little more cutting edge.

With all this nostalgia, I think it’s time for a spot of afternoon tea! Liberty Flower Print Dress, £50 available at topshop.com
