Boy by Band of Outsiders designer Scott Sternberg has chosen actress Kirsten Dunst as the face of his Spring 09 RTW lookbook, following his AW08 collaboration with another thespian, Michelle Williams.

A CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee, Strenberg is far from being a fashion outsider having been featured in Vogue, Spin, GQ, i-d, and ELLE magazines. Known for his edgy take on preppy staples, Boy by Band of Outsiders is a perfect fit for indie queens Dunst and Williams.

Loose, casual jersey dresses and sharp tailored suit jackets already feature heavily in Kirsten and Michelle’s wardrobes so it makes perfect sense to have them model Sternberg’s mix and match separates.

Easy to wear and timeless, Boy by Band of Outsiders AW08 collection is a forest of greens, browns and charcoal colours, soft to the touch textures, and beautifully cut silhouettes. Michelle Williams looks smart and effortlessly cool in the campaign (below) photographed at interior designer Paul Fortune’s home.

Slightly more directional, Strenberg’s SS09 collection is brought bang up to date with neon anoraks and pointy stilettos.  Kiki brings a carefree but cool style to the designer’s lookbook, which sees Kirsten poised on her phone, smoking, and dancing in his designs.
