One of the hottest trends this season is sequins, yep, those shiny little things that adorn Las Vegas showgirls - shrinking violets need not apply. Seen everywhere from Valentino Couture to Zac Posen these light-reflecting gems add texture and glamour to any outfit. Hot off the press are these navy Pailette skinnies by Alexander McQueen.

Swimming in sequins, these trousers are the statement piece this winter and are guaranteed to release your inner rock chick and make you glisten like a disco ball.

With vampish ankle zips and contrasting waistband they scream “I’m extravagant but I’m definitely worth it.” Be sure to team with sky-high stilettos for a sexy, sultry and seductive look, these are definitely not to be worn with sedate flats.

Such over-stated glamour doesn’t come cheap, you can except to pay around £1,045 for these stunners, and they’re already selling out everywhere! Are they worth it? Hmmmm. Chances are they aren’t going to be a statement piece that you wear again and again, and I’m sure Topshop will do a good pair at a fraction of the price, but what a wow factor!
