Lace. Being that its one of the hottest trends of the season I’ve spotted it on many a fashionista at London Fashion Week , mainly in the form of lace leggings. Anyone else feel that lace leggings if not done well end up looking tacky? Here’s a quick tip. To avoid the red light district look pair with block colours. Anyway I digress…

Apart from a beautiful black lace dress that’s sitting in my wardrobe waiting for the right occasion I haven’t really started working this trend, and up until yesterday I was still in search of that perfect piece. Well, I’m happy to announce that I think I’ve found it in the form of these round toe ankle lace booties by Nine West.

These are the first lace inspired shoes I’ve seen on the high street and thumbs up to Nine West for translating the trend so perfectly to footwear. For me, they’re a definite must-have for AW08. $109 available at ninewest.com

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
