I Heart Vivienne Westwood!

Vivienne Westwood Purple Mary Jane

I love love love Vivienne Westwood, not just her clothes, her shoes, her handbags, her jewellery…. sorry I drifted off into a blissful fashion reverie there, but Vivienne herself. With her crazy red hair, outlandish style and opinionated views, she really is the coolest OAP on the block.

Eccentric, quirky and unquestionably original, everything about her oozes effortless style and passion, and how could you not admire her as a designer who uses herself as a model, not only wearing her own creations but featuring in adverts selling them. O.K so this may not be altogether unheard of, I know Viktor and Rolf walk their own runway shows, but Vivienne, at 67, is still holding her own against youthful 20-something fresh-faced models - not a mean feat!

Everybody should have a little bit of Vivienne in their wardrobe, and this seasons collection is as exquisite as ever. I’ve been left doe-eyed over these stunning Elevated Mary Jane shoes in purple, not to mention the multitude of must-have arm candy that sends my handbag fetish into overdrive (I can hear my boyfriend and my bank manager crying from here!).

The best thing is that her unconventional style is ageless, you can happily wear a Westwood piece for years without fear of it looking dated, in fact her vintage collections hold more fashion credentials than most.

So for this Vivienne Westwood, I thank you; thank you for your perfect tailoring, iconic accessories, and eccentricities, you’re definitely top of my dinner party list. £355 available at Net-a-Porter
