A part of being a little girl is playing dress-up in your mum’s clothing. My favourite part of dress-up? Putting on my mum’s heels and stomping around the tile floor just to hear the “click-clack” sound that I idolized.

Now, old enough to wear my own heels, I’m happy to announce that the 80’s styles I so admired are back and better than ever! Marc Jacobs’ AW08 collection includes many of the colours and patent textures reminiscent of our youth.

These Velvet-Trimmed Pumps sport a 4 1/2 ” heel and come in both deep red and vibrant blue. I love the rounded toe and towering heel – these puppies will definitely make the “click-clack” we all used to emulate.

If you’re like me you must be kicking yourself for not holding onto your mums’ collection of footwear, but don’t worry ladies make the investment on some serious heels and save them for your daughters – they will definitely thank you for it! Marc Jacobs Velvet Trimmed Pumps, $575, available at Saks.com

I missed this sale, but I saw on hautelook.com that they are having a sample sale on Taryn Rose shoes tomorrow! They kind of look like the Marc Jacobs ones above. I’m definitely going to check this sale out. They have great deals on this site.
