Paint the town red this Christmas…

11th December 2008 8:37 pm

With all the Christmas parties ahead it’s time to ditch your trusty LBD and embrace the new ‘it’ colour, yes I’m talking red! Bold, sexy and conveniently festive red is a glamorous and stylish alternative for this season’s gatherings

An a-list fave from the start of the year with Heidi Klum and Anne Hathaway stealing the limelight at the Oscars in their stunning scarlet gowns, the colour is surprisingly accessible with some beautiful party dresses on the high street like this gorgeous strapless dress by Rachel Roy.

If you’re hooked on your LBD however, killer red heels or a slick of red lippy work can liven up an LBD and add a little sassiness.

Need I say it…avoid white faux fur accessories unless you are intentionally channelling Mr/Mrs Clause’s style. $1,150 $805, available at net-a-porter.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
