Steep vs Cheap: Glorious Gladiators
Steep vs Cheap | Lauren Feinson | June 29, 2009
Ever since Sienna wore them during her boho years, the Gladiator has been returning year after year as a summer staple.
The essential item for laid back cool, this sandal is easy to wear and can be paired with anything from that fashion-forward body con dress to hot to trot harem pants.
These Giuseppe Zanotti’s are the favourite choice for the likes of Victoria Beckham and Nicole Richie and can be found at Net-a-Porter, but with a price tag of £445 not everyone cannot afford to flaunt these lovelies.
However, the advantage of this trend is that no high-street store is complete without their own gladiator addition, therefore making it simple to find a lush alternative.
Take these Kurt Geiger gladiators, now on sale at £95 £75, they are credit-crunch friendly without cutting back on style!

I normally can never master the “cheap vs. steep” question. In this case though, I thought it was very east to tell that the sandals on the left were more expensive than the other pair. If you’re going to save money on something trendy, I wouldn’t skimp on gladiators– cheap pairs are easy to spot.
75 pounds is so not cheap…
