Jeans are the fail-safe option for any fashion forward female, but which option do we choose?

2009 saw the returning trend of the boyfriend jean with rips and slashes galore, combined with another hot trend of wearing them turned up just above the ankle gives a really relaxed feel.

Easy for beach to bar with them oozing laid back cool, wear with a t-shirt during the day and flips flops whilst changing into heels, a skimpy vest and blazer for the evening.

You can either grab a pair off your “boyfriend and slash them up but if you don’t think this will go down too well there are plenty ready-made options to choose from.

Take these ripped boyfriend jeans by Acne (pictured on the left), £200 available at Net-a-Porter, they have just the right amount of gashes to give them that distressed rather than the homeless look.

For a cheaper alternative, enter Warehouse’s slouchy boyfriend jean (pictured on the right)…practically the same cut, the only difference being the amount of slashes.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
