Steep vs Cheap: The Blazer

Each year the choice of jacket changes.

2007 was the year for a military style or classic trench, 2008 saw the trend of leather jackets and in 2009 we are adorning the blazer.

There are styles to suit everyone but my personal favourite is the tailored blazer, fantastic for wearing with jeans and sandals for that preppy cool look.

But on the other hand the perfect choice for creating a chic twist to that little black dress. This Elizabeth & James number with a single button and ruched sleeves, £314, available at my-wardrobe.com is just gorgeous.

However, if your pennies just won’t stretch that far good old Silence & Noise come through with this fabulous oversized double breasted blazer, at a snip of the price. £58 available at Urban Outfitters.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
