Lunchtime buy: Preen Line quilted leather skirt

12th November 2009 3:20 pm

Since launching in spring 2008, Preen’s diffusion line – Preen Line – has seen massive success. The second (and more affordable) collection from Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi offers a range of designs, true to their main line.

The collection caused a stir last spring when the Fountain cotton-jersey dress sold out within 24 hours and it seems this season is following suit, with new versions of the dress having already sold out on Net-a-Porter.

Luckily for us, there’s still quite a selection to choose from. While we love that Thornton and Bregazzi have filtered a little print from their Preen collection to the diffusion line with the Houndstooth backless dress, our pick of the bunch is definitely this quilted leather skirt. Not for the shy and retiring, this number screams rock-chick chic, adding shape with those stand-out, quilted hip pockets. With the exposed zip at the back to boot, this skirt does the talking so team with a plain, white shirt and ankle boots. £440 from Net-a Porter.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
