Anya Hindmarch
Oh, now this is exciting: Designer Anya Hindmarch, loved for her luxury accessories, is taking her creative streak outdoors, designing for British brand Barbour.

With the British heritage label making its way back to fashion’s forefront, we can’t get enough of the English country look at the moment , and we’re expecting Hindmarch to bring a dose of city elegance to the jackets she’s taken to design.

“It was fascinating working in the archives, seeing the Barbour stories behind some of the coats from explorers, military men and heroines, the designer, who also collaborated with US cheap-chain Target, told Vogue UK. “We have respected the original design but played with the cut, fit and the details. It has been fun to add a little Anya Hindmarch style to such an iconic British brand.”

The capsule collection consists of four pieces, all of which will be available from Anya Hindmarch stores and selected <a href="Barbour retailers come autumn.

Claire Saunders, head of marketing at Barbour, said they are “delighted to be collaborating with Anya Hindmarch. “There is a great synergy between both brands as we both share a passion for quality and excellence, she said. “By combining Barbour’s country tailoring with Anya’s city elegance, we have created a collection of exquisite yet durable jackets.”

Prices for the jackets start at £249; we can’t wait to see the designs.
