Lunchtime buy: Thakoon printed pleated-neck top

11th March 2010 12:00 pm

Thakoon is a name we’re becoming more and more familiar with – and for good reason. Young American designer Thakoon Panichgul counts Michelle Obama and Anna Wintour as his fans and he even featured in Vogue documentary The September Issue, securing his rising star status within the fashion world.

We’ve fallen for Thakoon’s Resort 2010 collection of psychedelic separates and in particular this loose, silk top which adds texture to a vivid print through asymmetric folds.

Team with casual denim shorts – as styled in the collection – and keep accessories down to a minimum, ensuring that Thakoon’s ikat print does all the talking.

$790 from Neiman Marcus.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
